Personality & Traits

General Overview Ethan is an experienced and capable leader though marred by his past. The strengths of his leadership come from experiences and his abiliity to see outside of the situational box in a given situation or engage in unconventional actions when the need arises. Resilliant and determined, he holds close his beliefs and cares for the ship and crew even if that means exposing himself to risk of danger.

Ethan is a capable diplomat, listener but also able to engage a group with direction and purpose when the need presents itself. His motivation stems from his desire to witness and obtain the best from the officers around him to meet a challenge or see a task through regardless of the odds, even if stacked against him. Ethan isn't intimidated easily, seeing those that try as trying to impose with an otherwise baseless foundation. He dislikes bullies and behavour aimed at those less fortunate.

Personal History Ethan was said to be an average yet enthusiastic youth, drifting in and out of hobbies and interests. After his school years he was not entirely sure what he would do with his life, torn between serving on a freighter, entering into oceanography, civilian security or Starfleet.

He never had any run-ins with Security, mostly kept to himself but always kept himself busy which added to his 'average' youth lifestyle. His parents tried to keep him interested in his persuits by supporting him even if they didn't understand it themselves feeling that the support in thier belief of him would encourage him.

His parents were however worried that the longer Ethan took to decide what he wanted to do that he'd drift and become aimless, something both parents wanted to avoid.

His Father arranged a trip to the Starfleet Fleet Museum hoping that the visit would ignite a direction, promote passion and clarity. During the tour Ethan asked no end of questions to the point where another officer, Commander Sarah Chun took him aside and continued the tour. The questions continued to flow and Commander Chun was impressed by what she was hearing, the questions and Ethans apparent and driven passions. She recommended to Ethan's Father that perhaps a position in Starfleet would best suit Ethan's passions and drive.

When back at home Ethan spoke to both his parents about enlisting in Starfleet, they supported his choice and went with him to the recruitment centre.
