Physical Description Victoria appears to be a delicate woman of slightly higher than average height, but looks can be deceiving. Under her uniform, she's wirey and tough, very fit because she loves to play sports. Her favorite sport is hockey, having grown up as a Boston Bruins fan, though she follows the entire sport and leaning towards her brother's team: The San Jose Sharks. She has several tattoos on her body, but the only ones visible are on her legs. She tends to wear shorter flowing skirts that are well above the knee and always complains about being hot, so she usually has her uniform jacket only sealed halfway.

Personality & Traits

General Overview Victoria is a typically gentle woman who has a slight Irish accent, but that hides an aggressive streak that shows itself when playing sports. She's a rather flirtatious sort who used to see men as more of a hindrance to her career until a few years before, but has since decided that she shouldn't beat them off with a stick and has started dating, though none has stuck with her for more than a handful of dates. Her biggest fear is that her past of being standoffish will have ruined any chance of finding a serious relationship. She has a quick-moving mind that stands her well with her specialty of programming.

Personal History Despite being the first child born to her parents and followed rapidly by a bother, Victoria had only one real obsession with life: The sport of ice hockey. Her father, a lifelong fan of the sport, encouraged her in the desire to play, but her mother was horrified by the thought of her little girl getting on the ice and being hit INTENTIONALLY. It didn't help that Victoria's cousin Tiana Vellour was a child actress only a year older than her and already landing roles on the screen. The Vellour family had always been competitive with each other and Bethany instigated an argument with Daonnaugh when Victoria was eight years old and finally relented to her playing hockey as long as she spent an equal or greater amount of time on the 'elegance' of figure skating.

True to her form, Victoria excelled at both, turning into a rather good and crafty center that won over seventy percent of her faceoffs and had a nasty slapshot that she could put just about wherever she wanted to. In her off-season and other practice time, she also became a dazzling figure skater and adapted some of her moves there onto the hockey rink even as she began to win lower-level skating championships. When she was fifteen, she won a regional qualifier to qualify for the Winter Olympic Trials where after a long-program that showcased her endurance and was marvelled at by commentators and skaters alike, she completely bombed her short program and finished 4th overall, missing the Games and she abruptly quit that sport to focus on her hockey, much to her mother's dismay.

At the age of 17, she turned professional and while not drafted in the NHL draft, was good enough even playing with the boys to be signed by the AHL's Hartford Wolfpack, a storied old team that was known to take fliers on unknown players. Despite her skill, Victoria found herself completely outclassed by her opponents' size and strength. Despite being pushed around, she did still find herself with a nice scoring touch scoring 12 points in 25 games during her first season. Her first full season at the age of 18 was rougher, playing in 58 games and despite scoring 18 goals and with 26 assists, she kept getting knocked about and her head coach recommended she play in the Women's Hockey League where he was certain she would dominate play. That wasn't in Victoria's plans, however, she always wanted to play with the big boys and her brother had just been drafted by another franchise, so she refused. The start of her third season was abysmal, held scoreless for four games before tallying a single goal. By midseason, she was riding the bench more often than not and her hopes crashed. She finally decided that she could play for Starfleet Academy and submitted her application for it, but was rejected because she couldn't pass consistently across the spectrum required.

Once her 19-year old season was over, with only another 11 points scored, Victoria was released by Hartford and no one showed any interest her in her. Rather than make a second attempt at a commission, Victoria hung up her skates and enlisted in Starfleet, discovering that she was well suited for an engineering posting. Without the need to constantly train for the next season, she put her dedication and talents into her new duties and rapidly became known for her programming abilities, branching out to becoming a good small craft engineer. During her first four-year tour, aboard the Nebula-class USS Mountbatten, the can-do attitude of the young 21-year old was noticed and she was fast-tracked to a Petty Officer 3rd Class before she turned 23, taking over the section that was responsible for the main computer. She was transferred to the Akira-class USS Glamdring, an Akira-class ship that was patrolling the Southern border of the Federation next to unknown space. Aboard this ship, Victoria was rapidly promoted to being one of the youngest Senior Chief Petty Officers in the Fleet at the age of 28.

On the recommendation of her Chief Engineer on Glamdring, Victoria was transferred to the Galaxy-class USS Warspite, a ship with a proud name that trolled around the heart of the Federation while acting as an on-the-move Officer Candidate School for those enlisted deemed potentially worthy of being offered a commission. While others came and went seemingly on a daily basis (Warspite was serviced by a weekly shuttle), Victoria excelled in the new training, gaining a far more well-rounded education than she'd had in her original basic training, then with eight years of actual Fleet experience. She flew through the training process, showing her competence to varying degrees with almost everything they threw at her, graduating from the OCS course with a recommendation from Commander Vazquez, the Engineering mentor, for an Assistant Chief's slot on the small USS Bayou, one of the smaller ships that made up the escort force for USS Bosley and Admiral Keanu Dobrev's task force on the western border of the Federation where the Tzenkethi were acting up once again. The task force and Bayou were in the thick of things with the task force, even though they were often kept back from the main action due to their size.

After one particularly nasty engagement, the Akira-class USS Aspirant took severe engineering casualties, causing her to need significant repairs and new engineering crewpeople including a new set of senior engineers. With her experience as an experience Petty Officer on board another Akira-class, Victoria was given the engineering department and spent two more years on the Tzenkethi border keeping Aspirant in good repair. As the task force returned to the central Federation for comprehensive refits and upgrades, Aspirant began to shed several of her officers and crew to other ships that needed reinforcing. As they passed the location of the USS Dreadnought, Victoria was given merely five hours notice to pack up everything she owned for transfer to her new ship, one far larger than she could have possibly imagined.
