| Physical Description | Mr'isarr is broad, trim and muscular from his many years in the Marines and keeping himself active and working out daily has kept him at the peak of his physical game. His fur almost pure white which can work against him should a mission require stealth. He has had to darken it through medical means occassionally. His eyes are golden like a true predator, which for him suits just fine considering his natural and trained abilities. His White fur is considered a blessing to Caitians for its rare nature, which did cause a stir when he left the Homeworld for the stars His tail is long and often sweeps left and right as he walks, prone to laying on the floor when standing still which will pose a risk to be stepped on, not just for him but the person doing the stepping. Some would consider him a gentle giant and while he can be gentle he doesn't want to lose his edge in the protection of his friends, thus he works out often. His fur is always neatly trimmed, brushed into position, fangs sharp and claws like razors. Mr'isarr some might call vain considering the amount of effort taken on his appearance but as anyone can learn if they take the opportunity is that to a Caitian, appearance is very important. |

Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Born on Cait, Mr'isarr was raised with a strong sense of duty, community, and responsibility. From an early age, military service appealed to him, not because of a desire for glory, but because of the opportunity to protect others. Rather than entering Starfleet through the traditional command or sciences track, Mr'isarr initially joined the Starfleet Marine Corps. The Marines proved to be an excellent fit. Mr'isarr possessed the physicality, determination, and instinctive leadership that the Corps demanded. They excelled in ground operations, boarding actions, hostile-environment deployments and tactical planning. More importantly, however, they developed a reputation for bringing their people home. That reputation would eventually become the foundation of their command career. After years of Marine service, Mr'isarr began to recognize that their greatest strength wasn't necessarily leading soldiers into battle, it was understanding how battles fit into the larger picture. They applied for a transfer into Starfleet's Command track. The transition was neither easy nor immediately welcomed. A former Marine stepping into the command branch brought with them a very different perspective from many traditional Starfleet officers. Mr'isarr was considerably more pragmatic, more comfortable with risk, and less inclined to believe that every problem could be solved through negotiation. But they also understood something many officers learned only after years of command: A captain's first responsibility wasn't winning. It was making sure their people survived long enough to come home. Mr'isarr is a commanding presence without needing to raise their voice. They tend to be calm, deliberate and exceptionally difficult to intimidate. Years in the Marines taught them that panic spreads faster than any enemy, and they developed the habit of remaining almost unnervingly composed when circumstances deteriorate. They are protective of their crew, sometimes to a fault. Unlike some senior officers who maintain emotional distance from their personnel, Mr'isarr genuinely knows their people. They make an effort to learn names, understand backgrounds and remember the sacrifices made by those under their command. However, that compassion comes with a harder side. When a decision has to be made, [Name] makes it. They can order someone into danger if the mission requires it, but they will never casually spend someone's life. Every casualty weighs heavily upon them, even when they know the decision was necessary. Their Marine background also means they have little patience for officers who treat regulations as more important than people. Rules exist to protect the crew. The crew does not exist to protect the rules. |

| Personal History | * Childhood — Cait Mr'isarr was born on Cait into a relatively traditional Caitian family. He was the only child, raised in a household where family was considered the foundation of everything. His father served for many years in Caitian planetary security, while his mother was a civilian engineer who worked on atmospheric and environmental systems. Neither parent pushed their children toward military service. If anything, they encouraged them to find their own paths. Mr'isarr nevertheless gravitated toward service almost immediately. As a child, he was intensely curious, competitive and fiercely protective of family honour and doing what was expected of him. He was the one who would step to a bully despite being smaller, younger or hopelessly outmatched. His mother often joked that he had been born with the instincts of a guard animal. His father disagreed. "No. He was born with the instincts of a leader. The question is whether he learns the difference." That distinction would stay with Mr'isarr throughout his life. * Adolescence Mr'isarr's teenage years were somewhat turbulent. He possessed a strong independent streak and had little tolerance for authority that he considered arbitrary. Teachers often described him as intelligent but stubborn. He wasn't rebellious for the sake of rebellion. He simply wanted to understand why. If someone told him that something had to be done, his first instinct was to ask why it mattered. Once he understood the reason, however, he became almost impossible to stop. He developed a particular fascination with military history, particularly the campaigns fought by Caitian forces during periods of conflict with the Federation's enemies. He was less interested in the battles themselves than in the people commanding them. Why did one commander succeed where another failed? Why did some officers inspire absolute loyalty? Why did some units continue fighting after their commanders were gone? Those questions ultimately shaped his philosophy of leadership. * Leaving Cait At eighteen, Mr'isarr left Cait to attend Starfleet Academy. His family supported the decision, although his departure was difficult for them. His mother was particularly worried that he was pursuing a career that could eventually place him in harm's way. Mr'isarr reassured her that he intended to become an officer who protected people. She reportedly responded: "Then remember that protecting someone does not always mean standing between them and the weapon." He didn't fully understand what she meant at the time. He would later realize she had been talking about command. * Life in the Marines Mr'isarr initially entered the Starfleet Marine Corps, believing that the Marines offered the most direct opportunity to make a difference. He loved the Corps. The camaraderie suited him. The discipline suited him. The straightforward nature of Marine operations suited him. More importantly, he discovered that he was exceptionally good at leading people under pressure. His first years weren't glamorous. There were long deployments, miserable conditions, exhaustion and more than a few occasions where he questioned whether he'd made the right decision. He also experienced his first real loss. A Marine under his command was killed during an operation. Mr'isarr took it badly. He had followed procedure. The mission had been successful. The casualty had been unavoidable. None of that mattered. Someone had trusted him enough to follow his orders. That person was dead. For several days afterward, Mr'isarr became almost completely withdrawn. Eventually, his commanding officer found him alone and told him something that would become central to his philosophy: "If you carry every death as guilt, you'll eventually become too afraid to command. Carry them as responsibility instead." Mr'isarr never forgot it. * The Transition to Command The decision to leave the Marines wasn't sudden. For years, Mr'isarr wrestled with it. He loved being a Marine officer. But he increasingly found himself thinking beyond the immediate operation. During briefings, he would find himself considering fleet movements, diplomatic consequences, logistical requirements and the effect an operation would have on civilians hundreds of kilometres away. His superiors noticed. Eventually, one of them told him: "You're starting to think like a starship captain." Mr'isarr initially dismissed the comment. Eventually, he couldn't. He transferred into Starfleet's Command branch. The transition was difficult. He had to learn how to think differently. A Marine commander could focus on accomplishing the objective. A starship commander had to consider everything. Crew, diplomacy, political consequences, Starfleet regulations, civilian lives, other ships and long-term strategic implications. It took years, but Mr'isarr became remarkably good at it. * The Death of Admiral S'iraa The death of Admiral S'iraa affected Mr'isarr profoundly. Known unofficially as 'The white cat of Cait' his loss, the highest ranking Caitian in Starfleet was a blow to the homeworld. Mr'isarr once remembered attending a lecture on command given by S'iraa, remembering a quote that stuck with him even now. "If you spend too much time worrying about whether you belong in the room. Eventually someone will have to remind you that you were invited because you belong there." So when the Caitian government pushed strongly that Mr'isarr assume command of the Dreadnought, he understood immediately what the appointment meant. With the loss of the Admiral, and no body to recover, only his personal effects. Political tension sharply rose between Starfleet and Cait as a result, numbers of already enlisted Caitians had threatened to resign on mass as a result. It wasn't merely a promotion. It was a responsibility entrusted to him by his homeworld. |
