That Uneasy Feeling

Personal Log, Stardate 68861.94

The security team just got back and I hear that they were lucky to be alive. I haven't talked to Lt. Commander reign but I heard some of the personnel who were on that away team talking about it. They were thanking their gods' for making it back.

It makes me nervous when I hear about close calls. A life could be snuffed out in a blink of an eye. Am I a terrible person for being glad that I wasn't on the away team? After all, I am, only human. There is always that thought in the back of my mind that I could be killed anytime.

I'm glad that they are okay but I still have this uneasy feeling that I can't explain. I guess I'm always waiting for the other...

Hmm. That was unexpected. Feels like something blew up but there are no klaxons going off so. Oh well.

As I was saying, I'm always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Then again, no sense worrying about what I can't control, I guess I'll go back to Security now that I have been fed. I have to admit that I'm curious to get the details of the away mission.
