Mission: Unknown Life, Unknown Dangers
Location: Bradshaw's Quarters

Kelly looked at him as the turbolift came to a stop on his deck. "Are your neighbors going to say anything about you bringing scantily clad women home?" she asked him.

"At best I think they will ask who you are because you'd be the first." I replied smiling knowing sooner or later they would bombard me with questions, especially if anyone saw her in what she was wearing now. "Just to the right round the corner, first door."

"I forgot my wrap in the holodeck," she said as she headed around the corner. "I'm the first woman to ever go to your quarters?"

Thats right she had. "Yeah you are, that surprise you?" I asked, I was going to ask if she wanted to go get it, but if it was that important to her we would have already turned around back to the Holodeck.

"A bit," Kelly admitted. "But that only means you think I'm special enough to bring here."

I smiled, another true point. When we got to my place the doors opened. "Please." I offered to let her go in first. My home life was a mix of practicality, comfort and relaxation. In one corner it was clearly my work desk area which held three shelves of technical manuals and other assorted readings with the odd blueprint schematic on see through panels on the walls. My main living room held a large couch facing the viewport, two small well kept plants, a lamp and side table. The other corner held the kitchen which beside that was the doorway to the bedroom.

"So, what would you like?" I walked to the Kitchen and opened storage by my knees. I listed off the varieties of Rums, Whiskeys, Bourbons, the single Vodka, the lone vermouth.

She looked around and noted that his quarters had a organized, yet lived in look as she headed for the desk where all the manuals were, but turned to look at the schematic. "Let me get a whiskey on the rocks, please," she said. "Your choice on what type."

I felt like a whiskey so I mixed two drinks in proper whiskey glasses, a sphere of ice and slowly poured. A large sphere of ice melted slower, kept the beverage cold for longer and sure some may argue about the use of ice I preferred it myself. "Here you go."

Kelly accepted it with a smile and looked at the sphere of ice. "For a moment, I thought that was made to look like a Borg sphere," she said with a laugh. "However, it's still something I plan to assimilate." She raised her glass in the air towards him. "To new journeys."

I chuckled with a smile, it did kinda look like that now that I looked at it. "New journeys." I clinked her glass with my own and sipped it. "I have others back there if that doesn't suit you." I didn't want her to feel like she was pressured into that one drink if the taste was bad.

She took a sip and smiled. "Now for the burn and glow when it hits bottom," she said as she moved to the couch to settle down. She tucked one leg up under her and draped her free arm over the back of the couch. "Care to join me?"

"Sure." I walked over and sat myself down pretty much right next to her with glass in hand, a smile on my face and enjoying the company. I had to admit this was not how I expected my evening to go, not that I was complaining. Home, good drink and a very attractive and sexy woman to share it with.

"So what defines James Bradshaw when he's not on duty?" Kelly asked him as she took another sip of her drink.

"Someone who likes to take life as it comes. I guess being an engineer has tempered that a little, especially after graduation from the Vulcan Institute of Engineering. Organised as I am I do like to plan things but as any engineer will tell you sometimes what we plan and what we get vary. I like to have a laugh and a joke from time to time though recently its been all hands on deck with the new CO." I began, probably sounding dull no doubt but she asked. "As you saw by the program I like to get out, I wouldn't exactly call it extreme sports but the perk of a program is you can change settings to suit what you are after."

She smiled as she listened and took a drink of her whiskey. "Surely there has to be more than that," she said. "Do you like to meet new people are do you prefer being a loner? Do you have a reputation that you protect or does it matter?"

"I like to meet new people yes." I sipped my drink as I thought about an answer. "I've often been the loner sort but not by choice. I guess in a way it set in on Vulcan, being a Human it was a sort of mutual thing that I kept to myself....too emotional or what ever." I placed my drink on the side table. "As for a rep, I guess when I was younger sure, keen to please, make a name for myself but now I just take life as it comes. I could be here today and gone tomorrow so I live life as it comes."

"That sounds like the view of a lot of pilots I met when I was in the Academy as far as a reputation goes," Kelly said with a sip of her drink. "I admit that I have similar views, but I don't like to drop contact if I can help it. Friends are hard to come by."

"Harder with the kinds of missions this ship gets into. Before I joined it it had one of the top 15% points for most crew casualties or hostile mission profiles in the fleet and that was before it became an Ascension." I replied thinking that she was pretty spot on, friends are hard to come by.

"So you're saying that I've been assigned to a death ship?" she asked before she tossed back the rest of her whiskey.

"Death is probably too grim of a word, perhaps.....active in hostile situations." I mused. "Would be more accurate, I mean why build something like this and not put it to use. If you read the trial reviews they did on this, it took a small fleet to bring her to her knees."

"This is a depressing topic and my drink is empty," Kelly said. "How about a refill and we talk about something more fun?'

"Deal." I got up taking her glass for a refill. "Ever done scuba diving?" I wondered that if she liked the paragliding, she may like diving. I poured another drink and walked back, handing it to here. "Here you are."

"Thanks," she said as she took a drink before she set it aside, then looked at him and slowly took her top off and set it on the back of the couch. "There. I had to get a bit more comfortable."

I gave her a look and there was no hiding it, I made no attempt to nor the smile that followed. "Oh, I don't mind." Not in the least. I had to admit though it was hard to keep my hands of her, the fibres of my being were screaming at me, some even more so to just leap on her. I wanted to, I really did and maybe that showed.

"Don't you want to get a bit more comfortable, James?" Kelly asked innocently but the look in her eyes was challenging.

Okay...okay...if that's how she was going to play it, I'm down with that, no guts no glory so what the hell. I held the lip of the glass gently between my teeth as I lifted and pulled down my shorts. Now I was stark naked, I didn't care, I was confident with my body. It may not be Mr universe with scores of overlapping muscles but I kept in good shape. With just her small bikini bottoms on it left little to the imagination, I smiled as I took my glass from my teeth and smiled. "Good enough for you?"

"That.....is very good," she said as she couldn't help but look at what was revealed. She got up and slowly straddled his lap, keeping her eyes on his the entire time. "Ah...now this is a much better seat."

Now this was a good development and one I was not going to argue with especially considering where Kelly was seated and she knew the 'lay of the land' currently. I sipped my drink while looking her up and down. I placed my free hand on the side of her waist over her bikini waistband. "I'm glad I could be of some comfort." Yeah, I knew what she was upto and I was A...OK with it.

Once she was settled on his lap, Kelly leaned forward and pressed herself against him and gave him a soft kiss. "Is this more comfortable for you?" she asked him.

"Much." I kissed her, fed into it, held her to me and didn't want to let go. I put my glass on the arm of the chair to the side and now free I snaked it round her waist and pulled her bikini bottom aside. "Up..." I know that would tease at her passions. "And down."

Later

Kelly rested against him on the couch and looked at him. "Now that was a lesson in Engineering," she said. "I don't think I've enjoyed Engineering that much since I first got into it."

I lay there catching my breath, that was good, incredible in fact. They say sex is a great relief for stress, damn right it is I'll say that much. "Not how I expected the night to turn out but who am I to complain?" I chuckled to myself, that had been a long while indeed. "Could I interest you in a shower?" Pretty sure both of us needed one after than physical exertion.

"That sounds like a good plan," she said as she rolled off of him and stood up. "I'm pretty sure that if we had laid there much longer like that, we would have been stuck together."

"Good luck explaining that to our bosses." I joked as I stood up and straight away my body protested from aches. I grinned thinking back to the sex and she was full on, vocal and yeah...it was good. I held my hand out to her to help her up. "Lets go, want me to wash your back?" I winked and smiled.

Kelly laughed. "If you do that, we may not be leaving the shower for a while," she said. "Not that I'm complaining, but are you up to it?"

"Sounds like a challenge to me." I grinned giving her perfectly shaped ass a gentle tap as we made our way to the shower. Good thing I always had spare towels ready and large ones, the really thick big ones. "If you wanted I can replicate some shampoo and conditioner for you?"

"Please," she said with an eep. "Something with strawberry and wildflowers would be nice."

That was easy enough so when I went to the replicator I got her a few choices, better a few than just one. "Here you go." I offered the trio of bottles to her to pick from. "Didn't know what you'd like so..." Though I was more caught by the beauty than the bottles on offer.

"Thanks," Kelly said as she picked one with one with a smile. "Now shall we go get wet and slippery?" she asked as she headed for the bathroom.

I didn't answer, didn't need to because the grin did that for me. "Sure, lets go."
