Mission: What Stalks The Night
Location: Earth, Las Vegas.

"Commander, may I speak with you a moment?"

The unfamiliar voice caught Anika by surprise and she turned to see a Captain in command scarlet striding towards her. Gesuring for BJ to take Nielan and get back to the ship, Anika turned her attention back to the man. Vaguely she recognized him, and she cocked her head to the side. He was the one who came to her the last time her father had attempted to interfere in her career. This is not happening!

"Good morning sir."

"I wish it was Commander..." the look on his face and there was something about it that brought Anika to full attention and the hairs on the back of her neck and arms stood on end.

"No."

"I'm sorry Commander. We have you on charges of conduct unbecoming. You assaulted one Ganapati Yashvi on stardate 116835.3, in full view of many wedding guests including one Shotam Yashvi. They have decided to press charges, which leads me to this..."

She almost spoke the words 'please don't' but that would have lowered her beyond a point where her dignity would allow. Anika Yashui at this moment had only that left to her, her mind a spiral of anguished thoughts that had no end except one. My Career is over.


"I am placing you under arrest for conduct unbecoming a Starfleet Officer. You will come with me to the Brig at Starfleet Command, and we will discuss any further charges there. "

"What about the Dreadnought?" Anika asked quietly, the hope leaving her eyes with every passing second. What about Ediras? What about my belongings? Everything I have ever worked for is gone...and for nothing.

"A new executive officer has already been dispatched to her. A Bianca Caselli from the Gayndah. She came highly recommended by Captain Everett."

I am sure she did.
