Mission:
What Stalks The Night
Location: Bridge. U.S.S. Dreadnought

The moment he stepped out of the Turbolift he was handed a PaDD that had updated information on it. Casualty reports were still coming in but there were reports that some were working on the Agincourt so there were some survivors inside the vessel. "Is there any information about the cause of the explosion?" Will asked as he walked to the centre chair.
"None, but we are looking into internal sensor readings and system checks now." Came the reply.
Will knew it was still early, he couldn't expect the whole run down straight away as that required time, people to do what they were trained to do and reports be written.
As if things were not troublesome enough as it was, this only complicated matters.

"Commander Bawden, is there anything to suggest an attack or anything impacting the ship to cause such damage?" Williams spoke looking at his Chief Tactical Officer.
"Checking." Mark spoke as he called up the sensor logs, even the external view logs of the hanger bay. It took a moment to watch the footage of the recorded moment of the explosion.
"Commander?" William called.
"Sorry Captain." Mark now had his proof and flicked his first bath of evidence onto the viewscreen. "I've checked the sensors from the moment the shuttlecraft departed, to the explosion and to this point. Sensors have picked up nothing across any bands. Subspace distortions, radiation, anything. Sensors are clear."
Then Mark pulled up his next batch of information. "There is this however." Bringing up the viewscreen again he showed the external hanger bay door view. Slide by slide he moved it forward to the point of the explosion and several after it. "The explosion was internal Captain." He flicked through a few more showing the fragments of the door showering out, though stopping before those unfortunate crew members that were working in the hanger at the time could be seen to be sucked out into space.
Will watched and reviewed the information he was being presented. It seemed unlikely that they were attacked by another ship because a ship this size would be foolish to be attacked alone. The other supporting consideration was that if they were to be attacked by another ship caught with shields down, the Hanger Bay was hardly a target. When he was shown the hanger bay door exploding slide by slide, he doubted such an explosive device would have been there long which meant it had to have been placed there after entering orbit. "Go to Yellow Alert."
Standing up Will walked over to Operations where Lt. Sandoval was. "Lieutenant. I have a task for you." He said quietly, someone sent that message, who he didn't know but maybe a trace could be made or a trail found. "After the explosion just as I was leaving my quarters, a message displayed on my computer in my quarters. A single word, Leave." William spoke. "I'd like you to run diagnostics on my computer, and investigate where the message came from, report to myself only."
He could only hope that the request was understood, the sensitivity of it was paramount in the scheme of things.
Now he had 'How' underway, next came 'Who' and who better to start that than Lt Tavana. He came to stand next to her, speaking even more softly than he had with Lieutenant Sandoval. "Lieutenant. Someone or more is responsible for what happened just now. I'd like you to run through the records, credentials, past histories, previous assignments of everyone on board." He knew straight away this was a tall order because there were over 6,000 people on board and that much digging for that many people was time consuming. Check skill sets, technical ability, anything that will help narrow down a list of those potentially responsible and report to myself directly with anything you find."
