Mission:
What Stalks The Night
Location: Away Team - Control Room
Bianca had been leaning against the door inside the small room, watching and listening to the conversations going on around her.
She could feel the hairs on the back of her neck raising up, her arms prickling with goosebumps, the beads of sweat forming across her hairline indicating that it wasn't the cold that had her hackles up.
Pushing away from the door, she walked across the small room, side stepping around Stefan, until she was standing in front of the holotable that had been brought back online.
The reactor was unstable and likely going to explode at any point, that was, of course, providing that the creature didn't find them and kill them first.
Life support was barely hanging on, there was no telling how long it would last. And the cherry on top was the fact that if it wasn't explosion, razor sharp claws or suffocation that killed them, they had no ready access to food or water.
She sighed and walked away from the table, heading back to the window, looking out at the space they had just come from, her gaze settling on the anti-grav sleds full of gel, the entire reason they had ended up down here in the first place.
"Well," she said quietly, turning her gaze back to the rest of the away team. "We have two choices that I can see. We sit back and wait to see what kills us first, or we try and find a way to get the hell out of here."
Walking across to the holotable again, Bianca stared at the imagery before her. "Commander Patrovski, was there any traces of DNA left in the claw marks in the doors?" she asked quietly. "Anything we might be able to use to program the tricorders to locate this creature?"
She fell silent momentarily, biting down on her bottom lip as she watched the table flicker slightly. "If it uses the vents to get around, we could always do the same. Especially if we can find DNA or something that will help us locate it in advance. We have our tricorders and weapons... and the vents may be our only way out of here."
Glancing up, Bianca's gaze moved from the table to Lieutenant Bradshaw and then Commander Reign and Lieutenant Commander Patrovski. "I don't know about the rest of you, but sitting around waiting for death to come find me isn't really my idea of fun."
