Mission:
Guilty By Association
Location: As yet unnamed spa
Timeline: Shore leave
Surveying the huge expance of space before her, a gleeful giggle escaped into the emptiness of the bay she was converting into her dreams. She was thrilled to have Owen come and help her, and help her get the place running. She's spared a very brief thought for his insane almost ex-wife and winced. Hopefully soon that too would be over, and Owen could truly start again. New life new ship, new everything maybe.
A piece of paper with a sketch on it, fluttered in her hand as she walked through the door and into the currently empty space. Laying it on the floor she began the painstaking process of transferring what was on paper into the physical world.
She laid a holographic marker in the center of the room, she activated it to get grid lines projected on the walls. Every 3 feet where a wall was going to be she dropped a marker which stuck obediantly to the deck plating.
A different color marker indicated where Flora was going to be as well as the waterfall in the back left hand corner. That would be also where the cascading pools were going to be. That would need to be carefully built up, with drainage as well so that in allowed for both beauty and maintenance to be done.
Being on earth was a godsend as far as getting actual materials instead of having to replicate them. Being on Earth also made it possible for Olivia to get plants in stages that not even the greatest of hydroponics experts could get her. Not having to grow them from seedlings in-situ would be of tremendous use. She intended for the plants at least to be useful in some way, fruiting plants or edible flowers. It would be cute she mused, to put edible flowers into the drinks that she served. Or float them on little platters in the largest pool.
The plants also had a functional use, to screen certain areas from view from the other areas of the small complex of pools that she was constructing. Eventually there would be three tiers of soaking pools, each accessible with a path built of Glass stones. They were designed to be smooth underfoot, but have a higher coefficient of friction so as people could walk on them with wet feet and not slip. Their colors could be changed at will, and gave Olivia the ability to change the whole feel of the spa in mere minutes.
Doubling back to the great door that would lead people into her spa she set where the stairs would be in order to get to the second story. That would be a giant balcony. The columns that would hold up the balcony what actually be arches in a slightly Middle Eastern or Moroccan style, white inlaid with tiles that brought color to the walls. The second floor would hold a relaxing room as well with soft cushions and chairs and places to just relax and enjoy the ambience. Upstairs would all be where her primary massage therapy would be done. That would offer people a view out onto the spas beauty, or a view of a holographic simulation wall of wherever they might choose to be.
The physical therapy would be on the ground floor in rooms along the outside edge of the spot itself. That would allow for more efficient use of space, without taking away the purpose of what she was trying to do here. At least one of those therapy rooms, if not all of them, would connect to a medical Bay, where Olivia had access both medical files and equipment. there was always the possibility with physical therapy and exercises that someone could exacerbate an injury. Those rooms and their connective areas would be prefabricated and beamed in as soon as she indicated to the computer where they needed to be. That was part of her next order of business.
Business, she knew was going to be good
