Ethics, Morals & The Prime Directive.
Location: CFO Office
It had been a long day, dealing with crew assignments and scheduling was always her hated part of the job. Sheela wrinkled her nose a bit as she leaned back in her seat to relax and rest her eyes from staring at a computer screen for the past several hours.
She wondered if the Dreadnought would ever get a Captain worthy to command such a ship. She smirked, figuring that some Admiral would snag the ship to make it his personal flagship, due to the size of the craft.
Shaking her head a bit as she continued to relax with her eyes closed, enjoying the few minutes of solitude she knew would be interrupted as some problem arose that just needed her personal attention. Already some of the helm pilots were squabbling over who would be the shifts senior pilot. Or fly one of the escort Defiant class ships. She would kick the squabblers off the Defiant escort ships and put them on permanent shuttle duty to ferry crew and supplies to and from the Valkyrie.
This was going to be a weird assignment and a royal pain in the tail if and when an Admiral showed up to take command of the Dreadnought.
Maybe Admiral S'irra would be in overall charge. Him rising from Ship Command to Admiralty. An Admiral that knew how to leave the crew to run the ship without interfering with the crew in all sorts of ways that just made the crew infuriated and wanting to get off duty to drink the problems away.
There were all sorts of passive ways to thwart the Higher rankers that seem to have nothing to do but make rounds under the guise of surprise inspections and interfere with everyone's work assignments.
"Squeeeeeeea!" Sheela let out with an exhale of breath as she opened her eyes to reread the report she was going to send off up the chain of command to read. Her department was ready for the eventual departure from Sol-3 orbit where ship had been parked for the past months awaiting crew, command and other personnel.
"Oh Squik!" Sheela hit the send button and sent her report on its merry way through the labyrinth passage of electric conduits to the respective recipients'.
