Getting Stuck In

Mission: Unknown Life, Unknown Dangers
Location: SickBay

Xavier had really enjoyed his time on the surface with BJ, a much needed retreat from the life that was the norm on a starship when ever sent on a mission or assignment in the far reaches of space.

He was slightly surprised to see that during his stint on the surface that several new faces had appeared in Sickbay, many which he didn't know but one he did. Sarah Chatillion. She was a classmate during his studies, she left briefly to marry and have a child but here she was on the Dreadnought. "Sarah, what are you doing here? It's great to see you." Xavier gave Sarah a hug. "It's been....years."

"It has, it's good to see you Xav, I see your time in Starfleet has been good to you, Chief Medical Officer and Lt.Cmdr I see."

"Took some strong convincing." Xaiver spoke. "So what about you, what have you been upto?" Xavier walked with Sarah to his office. "Last I heard you were married and pregnant."

"Yep, a girl too, Raivyn."

"Really, thats great." Xavier spoke as he walked to the replicator. "Drink?"

"A water would be nice." Sarah replied with a smile as she looked around the office. "I honestly didn't expect to see you here, you were always against moving up. So what changed?"

"About 130lbs, 5'5 and a brunette." Xavier replied as he handed over a glass of water.

"Oh.....a lady friend, Xavier you sly devil." Sarah smirked. "So she's the one responsible for all this huh?"

"She can be.....persuasive." Xavier replied as he sat down with a drink of his own. "We just spent the night on Earth before we head out, because its not often we get a chance to get off this ship so thought we should take it while we have the opportunity."

"Greg and the kids are settling in, he left Starfleet and hes a contractor now, it helps because he can stay at home with the kids while I am on duty."

"Why the Dreadnought, I thought you were doing a biology position in New Zealand?"

"I completed the assignment, two years in the field gave the team some amazing result." Sarah spoke as she sipped her drink. "I wanted a change and I put in my request to personnel with no particular choice in mind and they sent me here."

"Just in time, we are about to leave." Xavier smiled. "I bet it was a rush to get ready and moved in time.?"

"It was, we had two hours to pack what we needed, my Sister moved in to look after the house."

"Lucky. Well I doubt I need to tell you what to do, we were in the same class. Just settle in, find your way around the department and if you have any questions ask away." He watched Sarah stand up, smile then leave. It had been soo long since he last saw his friend, he was glad she was doing well and a family to boot but his thoughts and ideas about the subject were far in the distance.
