Mission:
Unknown Life, Unknown Dangers
Location: US Dreadnought
Constantine Ravenloft sat at the helm of the Dreadnought for her shift on the bridge. She glared at the controls as the big Ascension Class ship travelled at Warp 3 back to the nearest Star Base. A communications Array it seamed like, but none the less a Starbase.
Armed with the information from Engineering, which she had been studying before coming on shift and putting it to good use to keep the Ascension from tearing itself apart at 3 times the speed of light. Deflector drawing as much, if not more energy to keep the path clear ahead of the fast moving ship as the warp magnetic field from the one nacelle would fluctuate to send her fingers dancing across the helm control and worried cajoling the On Duty Engineers for increase of Nacelle output or decrease of Nacelle output.
Rsc thrusters at this speed were useless as she programmed the flight path to miss the Array Starbase. Yet with the one Nacelle wanting to pull the ship in the direction of the remaining nacelle would put the ship right on course with the Starbase.
She kept an eye on the countdown clock as human back up incase the computers failed to pull the Ascension Class out of warp in time. Suddenly the streaks of light and then stars filled the sky as the timer hit 0:00. With her inputting the commands manually and before she could hit execute.
The Ascension Class was safely out of warp and up ahead was the Array right were it was suppose to be. Their Destination.
Constantine smiled as she turned to the onduty Officer of the watch. "Inform Command we've arrived."
She turned back to the helm as she slowed the Ascension Class ship down Finding it easier with impulse to maneuver the big ship as the RSC Thrusters could be brought into usage.
