Mission:
The Emerald Road
Location: Shuttle Bay
Acacia felt the change in the engines immediately, since she had the bulkhead pressed against her back. The only thing stopping her from a full panic attack at the small cramped space was the marine before her. Shed been teasing him rather mercilessly, and hed been unable to move. The scent of his cologne, or after shave...and just his...commsnding presence made her forget her fear.
Jack had to stand there, enduring the shoving and bickering, vowing for space while he acted as barrier for Acacia keeping the others away to give her room. Her teasing him was entertaining even if he couldn't move his hands from the bulkhead. "You are going to pay for this, you know that right?"
Her smile was utterly blinding "Oh Im counting on it." The shuttle was coming in for a landing and the jostling stooped and the throng began to oress in thr other direction.
Jack smirked as things seemed to be going from who had more room to the door was about to open. Taking his hands from the bulkheads he reached down and grabbed a bag, unbeknown to him that it was Acacia's, not his own. "That wasn't so bad now was it?" The smirk on his face clearly indicating that his meaning encompassed more than just the cramped conditions.
She bent down and picked up the bag on the other side of her. However in a stroke of pure mischief, she stroked her cheek over what he was trying to hide with the bag when she came back up. Her fingers then entwined with his briefly and squeezed "No indeed not."
Jack smiled as he looked down at her. When her hand briefly held his he held hers in return. Her cheek didn't go unnoticed but now was not the time or place to play on the thoughts running through his mind. "Good." He turned when he heard the door opening, didn't take much guessing to hear the gosling going on as people tried to get out first with bags and things in hand. "Should probably wait till they have gone."
Her smirk widened into a smile at the promise of Retribution she can read in his eyes side. She was looking forward to it. Her time with him would be a positive on the new ship, until he tired of her. Everyone tired of her eventually but she hoped that he would last longer than the others.
"I've been assigned quarters on Deck 7. Section 2. Maybe once you have finished pre mission medicals....." He left that sentence to trail off, left it for her to finish. When more light came into the room he looked at her for a moment, winked and then turned see the way was clear. "Looks like we can leave."
She grinned and slid her hand into his again. "Ill be sure to come by .." Part of her didn't want to leave, but she was glad the throng of people were gone.
When all was said and done they parted ways and Jack headed for what he was to understand as a joke of Marine Command. He was hoping to see Acacia tonight after shift but knowing the way new missions went that was being hopeful. As he walked into what was laughably the Marine section he was greeted by his assistant. Thankfully the same from the Dreadnought who had to her credit taken it upon herself to get everything ready and organised for his inspection.
Walking into his 'office' he saw that it too had been arranged as best as it could be given the space available. he put his bag onto the table and looked around, got a feel for where things were before he went to the bag and unzipped it. What he expected to be a spare green under shirt was actually a bra. There was a mild look of confusion at first before a second later it sank in.
He'd picked up Acacia's bag.
I stuffed the Bra into the bag again and quickly zipped it up. Mild disbelief he'd done this, shock too as he wondered how Acacia would feel as soon as she opened up 'her' bag.
