Mission: The Emerald Road
Location: Quarters

Having cleared up the dinner table Xavier had pressed the button on the replicator to whisk away the final set of plates and two glasses. The air still held with it the aromas of the meal they had just eaten. It was nice to have her in his lap, that touch, comfort, that closeness that brought with it a peace that only a lover could bring. Even though they were on the way home he knew it wouldn't end there, reports would need to be made, questions would need to be answered.

He had tried his best to heal Vash but physical recovery would only do so much, the mental would take time and a whole lot of patience. He turned back to the main floor space and smiled seeing BJ standing there, wonderful, attractive....his.

"Can I interest you in a shared bath?" Something simple yet meaningful, intimate without sex yet close and comfortable.

"That would be really nice, but where are we going to find a bathtub on this ship?" BJ asked as she rested her head against his shoulder.

"Well, I could reserve us a holodeck." Xavier answered, snaking his hands around her frame holding her.

"In that case, can we make it a bubble bath?" she asked as she looked up at him. "I haven't had one of those since the Academy."

Xavier let BJ go and walked to the console, seconds later it revealed to him that Holodeck 2 was available. "Holodeck 2 is free, how long shall we book it for?"

BJ got up reluctantly and stretched. "Was that a yes to the bubble bath?" she asked.

"Absolutely." Then Xavier booked the Holodeck for a good 2 hours. Enough to relax, enough to talk, plenty to get stuff done and discussed for the future. Once that was done, he stood upright again. "Ok, lets grab some things and go." Towels, hair products and soap and a change of clothes.

She headed into their bedroom to grab a few toiletries, a big body towel and a robe, then a change of clothes. "I'm ready when you are, love."

Following suit Xavier gathered a few things and then with all under his arm ready to go wrapped up in the towel he smiled. "Let's go." He was actually looking forward to this bath, a moment to just unwind, relax, be a person instead of the profession. "Good thing we can make the bath as big as we want."

"I once saw a Roman style bathhouse in a holonovel," BJ told him as she headed for the door. "Apparently, it was a communal house where everyone went to relax and bathe. They had amazingly big tubs to bathe in."

"Think we can recreate it?" Xavier asked, interested in what he just heard. It sounded great and the old ancient times were always beautiful in its architectural designs.

"We could, but that would mean there would be a lot of space between us," she said as she headed for the door.

"Perhaps not then." Xavier didn't like the idea of putting space between them, this was supposed to be a nice, comforting and relaxing moment. When they left home and walked through the ship to the booked holodeck, it sat waiting for them. "So, what kind of bath shall we have?"

"How about a nice simple hot tub for two with lots of plants around the room, some candles, a warm breeze and some soft music?" BJ suggested as she walked beside of him.

"That....sounds wonderful." Xavier answered as he constructed all the pieces in his mind. "Sounds great in fact." It wasn't long before they stood before the console, he pressed the button to turn it on. "Care to design your idea?"

"I'm not a designer, but I can make requests," she said as she began to tell the computer what she wanted and finished by putting it in a tropical location. "Gentlemen first."

He would have returned with 'Ladies just before.' but that felt corny. Instead he held his hand out. "Together."

"Fair enough," BJ said as she took his hand and entered the lush, early evening tropical setting. Dozens of candles artfully concealed behind fronts to cast shadows while providing illumination for the couple. A scented breeze ruffled her hair and she turned before spying the tub which was flush with the island floor and surrounded by smooth stones. A soft beat of some alien artist played in the background and small animal sounds came from the trees around them.

"Perfect." Xavier spoke as he looked around, the smile on his face continued to grow. "Just what was needed." The doors closed behind them, locking them in tranquil bliss before they vanished. Xavier didn't want to waste any time they had in this beautiful moment that was created so put his things down on a small bench and started to change.

Going to where the hot bath was," BJ began to disrobe after setting her towel and everything down. "I agree completely. Now get naked so we can relax before the next emergency."

Xavier smiled knowing she was right, time between emergencies was a luxury. He stripped off his clothing, leaving it neatly in a pile and then walked to the bath that awaited them. "This is going to feel so good." He knew this not because he was medically trained but also because a bath was something that had been a long time missed.

She slipped into the steaming tub which pushed bubbles up over the rim and covered his feet. "Ohhh...this feels amazing," she said as she sank deeper into it.

Xavier couldn't agree more, it truly was amazing. Once settled briefly letting the water do its thing he'd moved over to her, arms to each side of her as his hands rested on the edge of the tub. "So....what should we talk about first for our future?" His waist pressing against her togethered knees as he looked at his Fiance with a smile.

"Well, we could talk about personal space for starters," BJ said as she looked at how close he was pressed to her. "This tub is big enough for both of us, you know."

Ohhh wow, ouch. "Ok." Xavier replied then sat a little ways from her, giving her the 'personal space' she sought. "So, what did we decide on so far, aside from the Captain acting as official. If I recall we have not spoken much about colours, reception, meals and venue."

She could see the look on his face and gave a small sigh. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that," she said. "I just like a little room in a bath. "Do we want formal Starfleet or formal civilian attire?"

"I was thinking civilian attire, we spend so much of our lives in uniform I thought we might want to make our special moment out of it." Xavier explained as he thought about the answer. "I mean if guests want to arrive in uniform that is fine, but rather we didn't."

"Civilian attire it is, then," BJ agreed. "I do have a suggestion for your best man, unless you have another in mind."

"Who?" Xavier had not even thought about a best man, which made him feel silly considering its one of the bridal party and so, an important role.

"James Bradshaw," she responded. "If it weren't for him, that alien would have killed you and I'd be doing life in the penal colony in New Zealand."

"What about Kelly and...." Snapping his thumb and finger as if trying to recall her name. "Ohhh, damnit what's her name." Since if he was coming, they would too.

"Kelly and who?" BJ asked. It had been a long day and she wasn't thinking about many of the finer points. "Nevermind, they can come, too. Do you think I should wear a white dress?"

"That is up to you, I'm not going to have a say in that, some things just shouldn't be decided by anyone other than the wear in an occasion such as this." Xavier spoke, while he'd like her to wear one, he wouldn't force it, it was up to her and he'd leave her with it.

"Come on,baby," she wheedled as she reached for his hand. "I'm asking you. I want things to be decided by both of us."

"I'd like you to, honestly." She asked and he answered. Part of him didn't want tp put her through all the trouble of it all, stressing her out before the big day, he knew it would be a stress just for his own attire once he figured what he was to wear. "And me, my outfit?"

"I think you'd look very handsome in a black tuxedo," BJ said. "Of course, you look even better without anything on."

"Well how about a tux, and the unwrapping after?" Xavier winked, he really did enjoy BJ's playful and forward attitude, it was refreshing and encouraging.

"A shame we're not Betazoids," she said. "We could get married with nothing on."

"And let everyone see the bare naked beauty that you are that I enjoy, I don't think so." He spoke though he'd not actually been to a Betazoid wedding, but had heard the stories about it. Then a revelation hit him. "Tiffany, Kelly and Tiffany, that's her name."

"Do I detect a hint of jealousy?" BJ asked with a teasing grin. "Tiffany. I'll remember that name. I had a Pomeranian with that name when I was little."

"Jealousy, maybe, I like you all to myself thank you very much." Xavier with his head up turned in a classic posh style turn. He could only hold it for a moment before he laughed. "So Maid of Honour?"

"I really don't know off the top of my head," she said. "I can only pick one and I'm not familiar with either of them, honestly. Maybe I'll ask Commander Yashui to stand in for that."

"Do you think she would?" Xavier couldn't see why not, but couldn't hurt to ask. "Anyone else if she can't?" Now is sat in the water thinking of suggestions himself.

"Maybe Commander Bawden," BJ responded after a minute. "I don't really know either of them well. I haven't gone out of my way to make a lot of friends on the ship since I've been aboard."

"Good candidate." Though the final choice was BJ's and he knew that. "So, are you thinking you and the Maid will be a different shade or colour to the rest of the maids?" In a way to denote who was the Maid of honour and not that she'd need it, who the Bride was.

"I really don't know what color they'd be wearing," BJ said. "What do you think about nebula blue?"

"Pretty." Xavier liked blue. "So that would mean matching ties or suit trims for the men then I think to compliment." Not that Xavier had a problem with that, he could already picture the blue.

"Or cumberbunds," she pointed out. "That would look really good against white shirts and black jackets."

"Ohhh cumberbunds, I like it." That was a keeper of an idea. "So we have an idea to be the official, Best Man, Maid of Honour. What about family, are we keeping invites even between family members or open invitation to all?"

"I'd love to have my parents and brother at it," BJ said. "They'd skin me if I didn't invite them. I'm the only girl and they've been at me to give them grandkids for two ships now."

"Kids." That gave Xavier that deer in headlights look. It was something they had touched on before, but not at any real length.

She laughed at the look on his face. "Can't imagine a little Xavier running around or a cute mini me getting all the boys attention when she gets older?"

"Are you saying a little me can't be cute? And if we had a mini you, I'd need a phaser, no, a rifle to keep the boys away." Xavier joked with a smile.

"If a mini you wants to get the boys attention, that's fine with me," BJ quipped. "Or if a mini me wants to get the girls attention. I'm the one with the phasers. You get medical quarantine force fields set up."

"Wow, pulled position on me....that's cold." Xavier smirked.

"Am I wrong, though?" she asked him.

"No, I suppose." Xavier stuck his tongue out at her. He knew she was right though and ti was playful. "So, what about location?"

"That depends on where the ship is going to be when the time comes," she said. "It's not like we can all just take a leave to do this. People are going to have to come to us."

"Hmmm." BJ had a point and he knew it. It wasn't like they could ask the ship to pull over while friends and family turned up. "Yeah, good point." Which meant when would also be in the air because of the very same reason. "Ok, we can put a pin in that for later then. "Any thoughts on catering or food choices?"

"With so many different species, I say that we have an open replicator menu for guests to serve themselves, but I definitely want a chocolate wedding cake and some good champagne," BJ told him. "What about you?"

"Can we also have little cakes too?" Xavier liked cup cakes. "Choc, caramel and vanilla cupcakes?" These were ideal for handing out to guests, take home treats or the little treat for himself from time to time.

"That sounds like a good idea," she said. "We can have all of them that you want."

"Awesome." Xavier spoke glad for that little addition. "So, just how traditional are we going, I mean, no seeing each other night before kind of thing or we doing something different?" Xavier asked, the traditional approach held some appeal, but this was a two person thing and her opinion mattered greatly to him.

"Just no sex until wedding night," BJ said with a mysterious smile. "Other than that, anything goes."

Xavier was just about to flat out agree to those terms, when it dawned upon him, they didn't know when they were getting married. "But, that could be days, weeks, months...." He pulled that pouty playful 'woe is me' look on his face. "I can't keep my hands off you now....." He actually did enjoy touch, and with her it was all the more special to him.

"How about in two weeks, and in the meantime, I'll rewire your vanilla little brain with my hands and mouth?" BJ suggested.

"Never going to let me forget that shuttle ride huh?" Xavier remembered it, fondly and that ride was the stuff of legends. "And what do you mean vanilla?" He smirked.

"I'm just saying there's more to sex than penetration, Xav," she said. "And a lot that's far from normal, which is what I consider vanilla."

Xavier couldn't help but wonder if that's how BJ saw him, as vanilla. He didn't try to outwardly show it beyond the look of thought and consideration. "Ok, I get what you are saying." Or at least, he would in time with her help

BJ laughed. "But of course, you're far from normal. I'm just saying there's a lot of pleasures to be found in other ways."

"True." Xavier smirked as he sank a little more into the water. "It's going to be a wonderful day." He spoke already picturing it take form in his mind.

"It will be. Now rinse off and sit on the edge of the hot tub," she told him. "I plan on starting the rewiring."

Doing as instructed Xavier rinsed off, the bubbles not laying around his lower legs as he perched himself on the edge of the hot tub. He looked at BJ and smiled, this was the woman he was to marry and he couldn't be happier for it. As he sat he wondered what those he graduated would say, especially since he was always saying he'd never get married or go far and both cases were very wrong now, and he was ok with it.

With a smile from ear to ear, she moved between his legs and showed him exactly what she had in mind and how she was going to do it. Each move was calculated just enough to drive him to the edge before she stopped and came at him again.
