Mission: What Stalks The Night
Ping.
"If I ignore it will it go away?" Anika asked as the blankets slipped away from her bare flesh.
Ping.
"Chudai" she muttered turning to look at Ediras who was still tangled in the blankets after she'd woken him up very...enthusiastically. He was still sleeping, or rather sleeping again and the gentle tone of the recall notice had not yet interrupted his sleep. Dark eyes found her PADD and privately she was glad they hadn't interrupted her earlier.
Her time with Ediras, and their reacquainting themselves with each others bodies had been a much needed respite and she felt they were both better for it. Stretching out her hand she accepted the message so that the pinging would stop and not disturb her partner. They weren't going back to the Dreadnought, but instead to a ship called the Valkyrie. A Valkyrie class, and fresh off the line she of course she knew nothing about it, except that the personnel roster held the majority of the Dreadnaught's crew. That boded well for the future for her and everyone aboard. What a nice change. Needing to research the ship, she made a mental note to do so when they boarded the shuttle and slid under the covers to reach Ediras. One elegantly painted fingernail stroked down over his strong muscular shoulder.
"Wake up lover...it's time to go home." Anika whispered as she moulded herself to her sleeping lover. Her words however were stolen when she found herself under the covers and under him. It was well over an hour later when they finally boarded the shuttle arm in arm. Their belongings had gone directly from the hotel room to the ship, but Annika wanted to prolong her vacation as long as possible.
"No. Way." she stated as she caught a glimpse of the warship they were approaching just outside of the spacedock. A squeal of childish delight escaped her lips, and she clapped one hand over her mouth before looking again. Both hands went to the window, she craned her neck to get a better view leaving behind a noseprint on the plasglas.
Anika spent a good amount of time just staring wide eyed at the ship that they were approaching. Taking the shuttle aboard had definitely been the right choice, as Ediras wouldn't tease her too much about her open mouthed, fishlike reaction to the enormous warship that they were approaching.
"Wow "she whispered when she finally found her voice again " what terrifying beauty that is"
