Mission: What Stalks The Night
It hadn't taken Rebecca long to transfer quarters. It wasn't like she had really moved into the other one anyway. Just a few spare uniforms, toiletries, and a handful of mementos were all of her worldly posessions.
In fact Aimee had proven to be more difficult with her collection of dolls, doll paraphernalia, suitcases of clothes, and innumerable other toys and knick knacks it took a better part of half a day.
But, as they say the deed was done, her daughter tucked away into bed with her holographic nanny looking over her Rebecca found herself in one of the many officer lounges with Kat trading shots of Scottish whiskey that she had acquired the last time she had visited her parents.
Katherine "Kat" Donovan had been the product of an Irish father from Kilkenny, and the daughter of a Highland noble. A Fraser of Lovett. So, as such the two with their shared Irish heritage, red hair, and high cheekbones could have very much been sisters, and one often confused as such.
"Another!" Kat said with a mischievous grin.
Rebecca scowled at her friend, "I have to be on duty tomorrow."
"Aye well, ya canae very well be walkin' onto the bridge hungover." She refilled both their glasses.
"Kat!"
Her friend laughed and set a hypospray between them, "My last medic from my old company got me the wee bauble."
Before Rebecca could object, Kat pressed the anti-intoxocant to her shoulder, and injected it. Rebecca just shook her head, and finished off the shot.
