Mission: What Stalks The Night
Location: Sickbay

The medical teams had busy hands as the wounded were beamed in, the injuries varied but regardless, they needed to be treated. Training kicked in as people worked in unison to save lives. Even with Xavier around the teams worked just as well with him as well without. They knew he was busy on the surface and some rumours had gone round during the long voyage to where they were but right now was not the time for speculation.

The young officer left Sickbay relieved the ordeal was over, nobody liked Dentists and the notion still remained in this day and age. "Doctor, we have a patient just come in, broken arm and dislocated shoulder. No nerve damage detected, muscle tissue intact."

"Any pain?" Asked the Nurse.

"Patient says some mild pain at the break point, shoulder not so much but I think he's putting on a brave face for the Nurse." She smiled.

"Always the brave ones in front of a pretty face eh?" The Nurse spoke. "Could you clear this for me and I'll go see Mr Brave?" He walked out of the room to the main area of Sickbay. "So, what caused this then?"

The officer was mid thirties, a Lt.Commander "I was working in the AG's Cargo Bay working with the containers when the shuttle bay decompressed, I was pushing a grav sled and it slid back into and over me before the Agincourts safety systems sealed the ship.

Running a scan of the injuries while he listened to the explanation. "Have the containers been secured?" He asked because if not it could pose a risk to other crew members.

"Yeah, my team got right on it after I was beamed here."

"Ok." He stayed silent after that for a few moments. "Well, the broken arm is easy to fix, I'm not detecting any nerve damage and thankfully it's a clean break so no splintering detected." He picked up a Hypospray. "This should help with the pain." Then pressed it to his neck before switching to a variety of devices to reset and mend the broken bone.

"Ok, lay on your back for me." Then called a Nurse to help. As it happens it was the same Nurse the Commander was putting a brave face on for. "Could you hold him for me." He asked her. "Ok, I'm going to pop your shoulder back in to place. I didn't detect any damage to the socket or surrounding tissue though so that's a good thing. You will be sore for a few days but if you have any problems just report back here for a check up." Then carefully popped the shoulder back into it's socket without much trouble at all, he was thinking the Commander expected it to be worse then it actually was. "All done." He said helping the Commander upright again.

The Nurse began to sling the injured arm and shoulder for support while the Nurse updated the man's file. "I'll put you on light duties for a few days, when the pain medication wears off you will feel tender and sore, it's to be expected but take it easy and any problems come see me ok?"

The Lt.Commander was but one of many.....on to the next.
