Mission: New Faces and Terror Beyond
Location: Captain's Quarters
Timeline: Early Morning.

Ra was sleeping soundly cuddled up to his Wife as the pair slept which thankfully drew a close to a chaotic day. The sleep however was brought to a stop when the Bridge contacted.

One of the talents developed from even the Acadamy was the keen hearing of the commlink. Heavy sleepers, light, day dreaming it didn't matter as when the link sounded it grabbed the attention of its recipient with both hands and shook vigorously. Against his will but dutiful Ra awoke dispite his physical and mental complaints. He rolled out of bed making sure to cover his Wife with the blankets and walked into the main living space. "Havrelli Here."

"Captain, we have a priority message from Starfleet Command."

Ra rubbed his eyes to aid in waking up. Ra grabbed a robe and tied its belt about his waist. "I'll take it here." He sat down at his desk, turned the computer to face him and activated it. He instantly recognised the person on screen. "Admiral Donowitz." A smile on his face in greeting.

"I am sorry to call you at the shipboard hour Captain, but there have been some developments."

"Oh.." Ra replied curious as to what they might be that Starfleet would hear of them before he was considering he was in orbit of the location.

"A number of complaints have been received regarding your presence in the region. While the complaints are levied against Starfleet they are more specific then usual, they are aimed towards your ship."

"It was bound to be a controversial choice to send the Dreadnought Admiral, we knew that, but I do not understand why they would complain about my ship when they are fielding ships of size themselves." Ra returned. He knew sending the Dreadnought could send a mixed or wrong message but he had his orders and he'd follow them.

"I know, we have come to a form of agreement. Considering what has been lost and tensions it has been agreed, though reluctantly to withdraw large ships from the scene and replace with smaller ones. The Klingons were most opposed to it citing other races were weak if intimidated by large warships. I'd like to add that the Klingons were the main drive behind the complaint in the first place."

"Perhaps they see the Dreadnought as a threat to honour and face. By having the larger Dreadnought in the same place they are undoubtably smaller in size and thus appearing in the wrong light." Ra explained.

"Possible, but Starfleet has decided that instead of keeping you there and raising tensions further we are going to replace you with the U.S.S Bradbury, a Nebula class ship. They will arrive in little over 6 hours."

"I will have a briefing package prepared for them when they arrive Admiral." Ra spoke already making mental notes in his still sleepy mind for later that morning.

"Already done. The Vulcans were kind enough to supply everything and thanks to the efforts you made in combining everyone else's information we have a more complete picture of what happened and is currently going on."

"What are my orders Admiral?" Ra asked just so he knew what lay ahead.

"There is a planet 9 days away from your position, it has been the victim of raiders and when the populace tried to defend themselves the raiders destroyed, critical infrastructure, some supplies but not before killing 50 people as an example. We sent a supply ship to the area with a light escort but it was destroyed by two black market K'Vort class Battlecruisers. The Klingons deny any involvement and all we have been told is the two ships have been deemed renagade."

"Convenient." Ra spoke.

"Indeed. However we have convinced them to send a ship, the Vorcha cruiser Ta'Nang to keep klingon interests at heart. Apparently these two ships have caused some trouble for them as well. You're orders are to enter the area, assess the situation, lend what ever aid you can while putting an end to the raids."

"And the Klingons?"

"We suspect they will try and destroy the two K'Vorts. Let them, by all means defend yourselves if attacked but let the Klingons make the killing blow. That said however just watch your back with the Ta'Nang, intel reports suggest he is known for violating orders."

"Understood Admiral, we will depart as soon as the Bradbury arrives." Ra answered. Seconds later the link closed, he couldn't say he didn't see it coming, it was expected as soon as the meeting ended and by the impressions he got from the assembled Captains he could tell he didn't like his presence. =^= Havrelli to Bridge, the U.S.S. Bradbury will be arriving in 6 hours, inform me the moment they enter the system.=^=

He went back to bed, he'd deal with the rest once his day officially started.
