Not All Changes Are Welcome.
Location: USS Dreadnought, Sick Bay Deck
Timeline: Current

The patients from the Agincourt had been in step down for days now. The ward was less staffed as fewer patients needed intensive care. The remaining patients were still receiving follow-up care, treatments requiring more time specific to each patient’s anatomy, biology, and humanoid. It was interesting, Gavin pondered.
Ross further checked through his list of medical supplies currently on stock and medical supplies on shelves for current use.
The audit was mandatory practice for a Chief Medical Officer, not only for mundane report reasons but for maintaining a laser focus on the types of stock, medical vaccines, medicines currently used by the medical department.
“Michelle. Assess me.”
“Not going to happen. Not the 4th time today, nope!” Nurse Rachelle had turned her head to her medical padd of medications to be delivered that afternoon. She was the charge nurse on the step-down unit currently. She prepared drugs and administered them to each patient, recording time, amount, and any reactions.
“Hello. Ensign T’RioX.” Gavin once again met the young Human/Klingon male. Gr’Ell was a good sport. Twenty-Two years old. An athlete on the holodeck in countless sports. “I understand your anger, T’RioX. You will injure yourself by returning to sport and training on the holodeck, suffice to say, your Duties as a full-fledged Starfleet Ensign in Operations on the USS Dreadnought. The Flagship of the Fleet.” Ross narrowed his eyebrow… “Do I make myself clear, Ensign?” The Chief of Medical locked eyes with Gr’Ell.
“Certainly. Of course, Sir.” After a moment, the Ensign had agreed it would be best to rest and not push himself after his sustained injury to his left abdomen. A part of the Agincourt’s efforts to secure the area, despite RJ. Gavin felt sick to his stomach. The thoughts of RJ didn’t leave.
