As difficult as it was for him S'iraa kept himself occupied, not too long ago this was his own command and it formed a routine he was comfortable with. Now however he had to play the rank he was, do the Admiral level things needed of him but....he got to do them on the Dreadnought. The departure of Captain Havrelli was indeed sudden and some looking into it revealed some answers but not all. Seemed the situation was still ongoing.
Then came Commodore Hood.
S'iraa knew of Hood, his name had crossed his desk a few times in the past. Nothing major but it did reveal a trend to perhaps step outside what could be considered normal protocol to get the task done. S'iraa couldn't really comment as he had himself done that on more than one occasion. Still he wanted to meet the Commodore and the ships rumour mill had churned up that the Commodore was courting an Orion, also the owner of a club called The Pink Kitty. S'iraa had to smile at the name.
Realising that the Commodore would be on duty, he not only wanted to see the establishment for himself but also see if the lady, Vashkele was available for dinner. The Commodore's invite would be sent via the computer.
Leaving his VIP quarters Admiral S'iraa walked to a Turbolift and rode it to the deck that the club was situated upon. The music was easy enough to hear and follow and a few onlookers wondered if his presence would be a good thing, like the Commodore's or for those that knew the feline, a bad thing.
S'iraa walked in and stood near a sign asking him to wait to be attended.
Before the Bolian bartender could alert Vash who was tending to some customers, the Betazoid dancer sent a telepathic message to the diminutive Orion. Vash casually turned her head and eyed the Caitian who was clearly wearing a Command dress uniform and took note of the pips on his collar.
She shook her head and gave a sigh. Here it comes she mentally prepared herself. Starfleet wants something more from me. She steeled herself and headed over to where the Vice Admiral was. "Welcome to The Pink Kitty," she said formally. "May I get you something?"
S'iraa observed the Orion nearing him. "A moment of time if it would not be too inconvenient." S'iraa replied. "I am Admiral S'iraa, former Master of this vessel, it serves as my Flagship now."
Many of the Starfleet patrons who were there suddenly got very quiet when they noticed the huge Admiral and found reasons to suddenly be elsewhere.
"Then please come with me, Admiral," Vash said as she turned and made several hand signals to the Bolian bartender and a look to the Betazoid on stage. She led him back to a small office that he would be very uncomfortable in, but she didn't have any other private areas for him.
She moved behind a small desk and sat down, bringing one green skinned leg up to rest on the corner of her desk. If he's going to make demands of me, it'll be on my terms and territory she thought. "I apologize that there isn't much space, Admiral, but I don't exactly get such large visitors to my humble establishment."
S'iraa smiled. "It's alright." S'iraa knew he had the right person, she was the only Orion on board. "I understand you are courting the Commodore. I intend to meet him formally, as his Mate I was hoping you would be available to attend."
"Courting?" Vash asked and despite herself, she started to laugh. It was a wicked little laugh that was full of delight at the same time as if he had given her a huge thrill. "His mate?" Now her laugh intensified as if she found something highly amusing in his words and it took her a minute to compose herself.
"Why, I'd be delighted, Admiral," she said after a minute. "Although I do suspect that the rumor mill you've been listening to has woefully informed you of far too many assumptions."
At first there was some confusion as to what he said that she found so amusing. She explained and made it clearer. "I have yet to ask the Commodore, being on duty I did not wish to disturb him over this matter."
"An Admiral who doesn't wish to disturb someone?" Vash asked as she raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure this isn't some joke that someone put you up to? You do realize that impersonating a Starfleet office is a crime, don't you?"
S'iraa raised an eye brow. "Computer, identify me." The computer revealed name, rank and position to Vash. "I trust you are satisfied?" He hoped she was, he was not in the mood for games.
"Good enough," she said. "Still, I'm not used to people of your rank not just barging in and acting like you own the place. What do you have in mind for a meeting?"
"Dinner." S'iraa replied. "My quarters." He offered in answer.
"Which quarters are yours and what time?" Vash asked. These assholes don't answer anything that you don't specifically ask, and even then it's need to know.
"VIP Quarters, would 19:00hrs suit yourself?" S'iraa replied, hoping it did not interfere with her business.
"It would," she replied, thinking of all the lost business that his presence had caused and likely would cause until he left. "What should I wear?"
"I will leave that attire between yourself and the Commodore." S'iraa spoke which left him wondering what he would wear. "That said I believe I have taken enough time of yours, unless you have any other questions?"
Vash considered for a moment, then looked at him directly. "Is my official status a matter of concern, Admiral?"
"Should it be?" S'iraa asked. "I'm not sure what you are getting at."
Maybe he doesn't know who I am after all, she thought. "Then I and Will will see you at nineteen hundred hours in your quarters," she said.
"Until then." S'iraa smiled, nodded then departed.
Commodore's Quarters, 18:00hrs
Will had just finished reading the prelim reports from his CEO about the substance from the Civic that was growing on his nacelle. Measures were already being taken to stem it's growth but more drastic measures would have to be taken if he was to stop it turning the Dreadnought into another Civic. He'd also received the same invitation that Vash had but he was unaware of that.
He had out a smart shirt, black trousers and suitable formal shoes ready in the bedroom for him so decided to take a shower to freshen up.
Vash approached the quarters wearing a diaphanous dress of pale gold slit up the right thigh and a plunging neckline which showed off her green skinned cleavage. She had her red hair up in a bun with two emerald chopsticks in it and wore a pair of pale gold high heels which added three inches to her short height.
By now, she had the code and entered it and entered the quarters that she now was in as much as her own. "William?" she called out as she looked around.
Will walked into view from the Bedroom wearing just a towel with another smaller one drying his hair. "Wow, you look incredible." Giving her the head to toe look and smiling. "Who's the lucky fella you are going out with tonight huh?"
"You are," Vash said with a smile. "Didn't you get the invitation to Admiral S'iraa's quarters this evening as well?"
"I did." Will said with a smile as he walked to her, walking behind her, his hands on her sides and kissed her neck.
She shivered and looked up at him. "Aren't you even a little surprise that he invited me?" she asked him.
"Nope." Will slide his hands forward as he stood behind her. "If what I hear about the Admiral is true, very little gets past him. He doesn't play all his cards at once and just when you think you have him, is when you lose."
Vash laughed. "If he continues to rely on rumors, he won't go very far," she said as she turned to check him for bruises from the night before. "How are you feeling today?"
"A little tender here and there." Will smiled as he tried to sneak a finger or two in areas where her dress afforded some small measure of access. "Not that I am complaining mind you, it was wonderful."
"I was hoping I wasn't too hard on you," she said before she gently swatted his hand away from her dress. "But you brought it out of me and once it's out, it stays out until it's satisfied."
"I loved it, really. It was incredible." Now to test the waters. "Speaking of which, the good Doctor gave me something, said it might help me keep up with you." And now to see her reaction, if it was bad then he wouldn't take it but as he said to the Doctor. No Secrets.
"He gave you something to keep up with me?" Vash asked in surprise. "William, please don't do more than you're capable of. I don't want to see you hurt yourself."
"Well he did say it was a one off, gym, diet and food changes would help make the change more permanent. I just want to do more for you, keep pace if only a while longer. Just don't want you to feel you are giving more than you are getting in return." Will spoke as he held her, at least she didn't take it badly.
"There are certain things that I can help you with," Vash said as she looked up at him. "But there's a cost involved and it isn't monetary."
"Oh, do tell?" Will's interest peaked, if she was willing to help him be a better partner for her, then he was open to listening to what she had to say.
"It involves a certain mindset, a rigorous set of exercises you must do daily, certain supplements, and a...what is the word I am looking for?" She hesitated. "Relaxing of morals."
"Relaxing of morals, care to expand on that a little?" Will smiled, though she was right, he needed to take better care of himself, exercises, making sure he got all the vitamin needs his body required.
"I'd rather not get into that in more detail right now," Vash said as she looked down. "We have dinner with the Admiral soon."
Will smiled. "Uh huh." He patted her backside and went into the bedroom to change. A few minutes later he emerged dressed, presentable and ready. "Does this look ok?"
"You look very handsome," she told him with a smile. "Should we bring something with us to the Admiral as a gift?"
"I'm not sure what would be ideal, being Caitian and all. Did he mention to you about anything?" He mentioned nothing to Will in the invitation.
"Other than calling me your mate and said he heard we were courting, nothing," Vash told him. "Why wouldn't it be ideal? I'm used to bribing officials."
Will smiled. "Then I guess we go as we are."Mate and Courting huh?" Will spoke as they moved towards the door. "What did you think of that?" His voice taking a slightly more serious tone as if probing her to see if she was happy, wanted more or less.
"I laughed at him," she said as she headed out with him. "Keep in mind that I wasn't laughing at you, but his formal way of stating it. I like you, Will, but I'm no one's mate."
Will smiled as they walked to the Admiral's quarters. The VIP are was rather luxury filled in decor and furniture and came to no surprise that S'iraa had picked this location to stay. Will reached for the chime and pressed it, a relaxing breath and wait.
Admiral's Quarters
S'iraa had spent the better part of some time getting his home ready to receive the guests. A pleasant aroma laced the air, flowers of various different types, art and tapestries clearly from Cait adorned the walls. "Come."
Will looked at Vash. "Ready?"
"I am," Vash said with a smile. "He's not the first Admiral I've dealt with and I doubt he'll be the last."
When the doors opened Will was surprised to see a lavishly decorated room, he expected the Admiral to be a bare sorts of individual, essentials only not this blaze of colours and decor. When they stepped in Will introduced. "Admiral, this is my partner, Vash."
S'iraa smiled. "A pleasure." He opened. "Drinks anyone?" He asked trying to be the good host.
"A glass of kiwi-strawberry, please," Vash said with a smile at the Admiral.
"Please." S'iraa's arm extended towards the very large seats clearly aimed at Caitians as he fetched Vash her drink. "William?"
"Um, nothing right now thank you." Will spoke as he walked towards the sofa almost wondering if he sat in it, would he be able to get out of it.
S'iraa returned with Vash's drink in hand and offered it to her. "I admit to a measure of surprise at seeing you here." A slight pause as he looked at Vash and as he took a seat in the single large chair. "Melani D'ian." S'iraa smiled. "Yes I know who you were and do not worry, I am not saying that to cause problems, only to put people at ease in case you two were worried."
Vash took the drink and moved over to settle down in Will's lap as if she belonged there. After she took a sip, she gave the Admiral a steady look, meeting his eyes with her emerald green ones and smirked. "I would be disappointed if an Admiral didn't know who and where I was," she said. "I have a handler, as you're aware, so you know what I'm doing, who I'm doing, where I'm getting my booze, what kind of club I'm running and the fact that it's all sanctioned due to what I did."
She smiled and took another sip of her drink. "Now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's have fun."
Will at first sat in silence, mildly stunned when Vash sat in his lap but actually liked it, it felt personal, intimate in a way but that was brought to a crashing halt when the Admiral informed them he knew who she used to be. He was about to say something when Vash replied, a slight smirk on his face by her reply but she did seem to push the moment forward with her closing remark.
S'iraa did know all these things true, it was nice that Vash was open and straight forward about it. "How are you finding your time on board the Dreadnought?" He asked them both, he was fond of the ship for the obvious reason it used to be his.
"I'm loving it and the sex is fabulous," Vash said. "The club is shaking so much ass that I'm about a month away from making what I was making when I was running the Syndicate." She looked over her shoulder at Will and wiggled in his lap. "Right, Will?"
Will turned red in embarrassment and wide eyed, he doubted the Admiral needed to hear such details, even if they were true. The wiggling in his lap was perhaps the most difficult element of the situation and Vash knew what she was doing....and where. "absolutely."
S'iraa smiled amused, he felt for Will but pleased to see the two were enjoying the company of each other to such a pleasurable degree. "I am pleased for the both of you." A perk of a full coat of fur, handy when hiding skin shades.
"Any other questions, Admiral?" Vash asked while she batted her eyes at him.
