Mission: Unknown Life, Unknown Dangers
Location: Temp Quarters Starbase
Timeline: Before Reassignment.

Amanda stood looking in the mirror at herself. She liked the deep green dress she wore. It showed off her legs and fit physique. She smiled, liking the results. She had put on high heels to give her a bit of height and a more feminine walk. She wondered how Zan was doing. She missed being with him and hadn't seen him ever since the shooting off the Nacelle. She hope Admiral S'iraa hadn't literally chewed on his buttock (no pun intended) for the hair brained idea of the Captain's.

Zan was in his quarters, temporary as they were. He'd spent most of his time here between secure conference calls, interviews and Flight Wing performance reviews of his entire squadron and himself included. This meant next to no time for anything else including Amanda, the woman he was supposedly engaged to.

He would have sent her a message if he'd had time between everything and sleeping. He'd not sat in a fighter since he landed, it was confiscated the moment they docked for inspection and review. He remembered the fun times the had with Amanda, remembering especially the panties in the cockpit of his fighter, he still had those somewhere. But it had been nearly 2 weeks since he'd seen her, 2 weeks since he'd last spoken to her and it felt even longer since he'd touched her.

Amanda moved from the mirror and over to the computer console to see if there was any messages. She knew he was busy with his wing, fighters and pilot. She typed in a quick message to him

Zan. If you can break away from your work for a few hours, let me know. Otherwise I'm going to spend some time with the troops. Amanda.

She smiled evilly as another idea came to her mind as she sent the message off to him.

Zan heard his console chirp with a message. "Computer, what is it?" When he was informed it was a message from Amanda he rushed to read it and once done he typed back a message.

My place, 5 minutes?

He felt bad for not having seen her in a while because they had been so busy with all the duries that the mission had forced upon them but he was so keen to see her, spend time with her that in his haste he forgot to sign the message as he normally would.

Amanda heard the chirp of the incoming message and she looked at it. Seeing it was the response from Zan, she smiled. At least she didn't have to send the troops to drag him away from what ever had his attention.

She left the assigned room she had within the troop barrack section of the Marines. She kept a pleasant smile to the wolf whistles, asking of dates and other complimentary remarks as she left the Marine Section after signing out with CQ to let them know where she could be contacted if she was desperately needed.

While he waited Zan made a quick tidy up of the place, with Amanda coming over he didn't want her to see he had not quiet kept things as tidy as he normally would have while on board the Dreadnought.

Amanda showed up a few minutes later than 5 minutes. But then she realized she hadn't acknowledged Zan message. "oh let him stew for a few more minutes." She muttered as she traversed the corridors of the ship to Zan's Quarters.

Minutes passed, he thought she got hung up with the marines. He knew they didn't like him much, a fleeter stealing a marine from them. He felt the mild loathing when they got engaged but that seemed to ease off a little now that some time had passed.

Amanda tapped on the announcer button to alert Zan that she was there. She was looking forward to seeing him.

"It's open." Zan called as he turned to face the door and to see the woman he loved. "Well hello there." The one place he didn't tidy much was his desk as it had reports and repair logs splashed all over it. "Don't you look amazing?" The grin on his face evident of his approval.

Amanda entered and gave him a hug. "Hiyas. Though you had forgotten all about me and fell in love with your fighter craft." She teased him.

Zan didnt let her go, holding onto the hug. "I honestly doubt you'd let that happen, you'd sooner demo charge it than let it keep me away from you." Zan kissed her cheek. "Ive missed you so much. With everything thats been going on recently I know it must have made you feel ignored."

"Don't worry about. I was just as swamped with duties aboard the Dreadnought. Every time I got a moment, I tried to send ya a message, I'd get interrupted with something." Amanda smiled warmly. "Wanna go visit the starbase, or just chill here?"

"Honestly, chill here. I've been back and forth so much trying to explain my actions to more flag officers and command than I'd hoped to ever see in my life. So a meal, good company and a good nights rest I think is what is needed most." He paused to look at Amanda. "Welcome to join me in all of that if you like?"

Amanda smiled softly. "I'd like that very much. It save me time in reporting my where abouts." She released the hug and moved to replicator. "What would you like to eat?" Glancing over her shoulders at him.

"Surprise me babe." Zan replied. "So have you heard we have been assigned to the U.S.S. Indefatigable?" I moved to set the table and grab a sly bottle I'd managed to gather and two glasses.

Amanda paused at the replicator, then looked at Zan. "What? The Air Wing of the Dreadnought?" Food momentary forgotten. "I'd heard if the Marines were being transferred."

Making sure everything was in place Zan slipped into something more comfortable and complementing to her own outfit, she had taken the effort to dress up for him so he'd return the favour. "There, I think thats more suiting don't you think?" He stood in view of his Fiancée.

Amanda smiled at him. "You look good." Giving him a smile as she laid out the last of the dishes. Simple meal of steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, toast and a simple salad.

"Well I have to, company is worth the effort." Xan said stroking his ego and pride a bit. "Besides, have to show you I can be presentable otherwise you wouldn't have agreed to marry me."
