Mission: The Emerald Road
Location: Ready Room

Will sat at his desk following the difficult and awkward conversation with his First Officer, he understood her position all too well having taken it a few times during his time as a First Officer. He filtered through all the information he had again which to be honest was not much, 3 ships were unaccounted for by system patrols that departed before the lock down. Information on two of them stood up to some light but the third was vague, non frequent visitor to the system, sighting reports in distant and remote sectors, anywhere but the Sol System.

Had Vash's past caught up to her and if so...how? Her identity was secret to only but the highest of flag officers, so how did they find her?

"Computer, simulation extrapolation of project course and possible destinations along last known heading of the selected vessel."

As the simulation ran Will walked to the replicator for Tea. "Why would they take her? How would they know she was here at this exact moment?" He muttered to himself. He had to admit it was peculiar timing with the Dreadnought in for repairs, no single ship could match her in a fight but how did they find her in the first place?

Revenge came to mind considering what she'd told him she did, he was confident that someone out there would have a bone to pick with her. Then the computer chirped, it had completed its task and displayed the results on screen.

He had a heading.

========== Bridge =========

"Helm, signal yardmaster we are ready to depart, set a course out of the system at maximum impulse once we are free and clear of shipping lanes then set a heading of 117 mark 38 at Warp 5 once clear of the system."

He walked to the centre chair and sat in it calling up on the chair arm the same display his computer still displayed in the Ready Room. He sent it to his First Officer so she could look at it too. It was a stretch he knew, they had a head start and wouldn't follow transit rules or speed limitations. Time however was a factor, the longer they took the outlook for Vash grew ever darker.

Will turned to Anika. "I think it's time I briefed the staff." Wondering if it would be as difficult as the private meeting was.

"Senior Staff report to the observation lounge for mission briefing."
