Mission: The Emerald Road
Location: MXO's Office / Marine Holocommunications.

Samantha watched as streams of data flowed on her screen outlining the performance reviews from her squad leaders. For the most part everything was shaping up nicely and though there were a few that fell short of the mark they overall, had come together well and as hoped. There were mumblings from the troops about not everyone in the department not being transfered along with the others to the Indefatigable, everyone expected it but they shared stories about how harsh, overbearing or indepth it was for some of them, especially couples. It was bound to disturb some, even the newest members to the team.

Since her meeting with with the troublesome marine though Samantha had heard nothing else, she took it as no news is good news but didn't put all her hope into that. A door chime snapped her back to reality. "Yes come in."

"Major, sorry for the interruption but I have Colonel Michael Tiwari on the HC for you."

***Marine Holocommunications Centre***

Colonel Tiwari, what would the Sector Deputy Director of Operations want with me? "Thank you, I'll be right out." If there was ever cause for worry now was it. She made herself presentable, tied her hair and pulled on her jacket. She walked into the communications centre and with a press of two buttons the link was established. "Colonel." Sam snapped off a sharp salute. "What can I do for you sir?"

"Major, I am Colonel Tiwari, I'm a friend of Maj.Gen Frost of whom you know his Son, Jason Frost."

"I do sir yes." Sam replied wondering what this was about.

"I've been hearing things about the Dreadnought, the last mission, messy business." Tiwari spoke.

"Yes sir, it was."

"Can you explain more on the situation?"

Sam explained what had happened, things seemed to fall into place when the Colonel mentioned the General though. "

"Major, he is not aware but Colonel Frost's name came up in a selection board for replacement of General Rebecca Steele, of the 16th Bat Command. I wont go in to too much detail for obvious reasons but relations are strained between the General and his son, we would like you to encourage the Colonel to contact me to discuss the matter. I feel that if I were to reach myself considering I am under his Fathers Command it might come off with the wrong impression.

"I'll speak to him once we finish here."

When the HC terminal closed Sam was left wondering much about Jack. Jack had never mentioned about wanting to leave the ship, did the last mission jar that? Was he wanting to take a step and be a General or was this out of the blue like it was for her?
