Mission: The Emerald Road
Location: Sickbay

Things in Sickbay were quiet for the moment, a rare thing considering anything could go wrong at any moment without warning. Fate however would prove to be unkind as it provided such a time as the doors flung open and a trio of people flew in at speed. Xavier rose quickly and in doing so knocked over his cup of Coffee. "What's happened?" He asked. Xavier could see a cut to her brow, a bleeding nose and mouth.

"It's Sue, she fell over running around in our quarters hit her head on the corner of a cabinet." The panicked man hastily replied while carrying the to be patient.

Ushering the group to the nearest biobed Xavier leapt into action by springing out his Tricorder and ran a scan. "Hairline fracture to the skull with some swelling to the brain, burst blood vessel in the nose and shes broken two teeth." He looked over his shoulder. "Nurse, prepare Room One, dental and cranial."

Xavier could see the worry on the faces of both adults. "Don't worry, she will be fine." The Nurse took the child to prepare her for the operation. "Dr Patrovski, CMO." He introduced seeing as in the haste that pleasantry and been missed.

"Tyrone and Brittany, Sue's parents."

"Sue will be fine, I'll heal the fracture, it's really minor and not life threatening but I do want to fix her teeth. Shock has set in which has numbed the pain but her nerve endings are exposed so the sooner I repair it the better." He didn't want to come off as rude but the sooner he fixed the damage the better.

***Operation Room One***

The cranial fracture was easy to fix and the pressure was relieved with surprising ease. Now came the hard part. Sue's teeth were clean breaks, only one nerve ending was exposed and there was no damage to the socket itself but it would mean repairing the parts of the teeth that were missing.

"Cementum is intact, break is clean above the root. She's lost some of the pulp." The Nurse called

The operation to repair and replace one tooth was simple enough. Sue would need at least a few hours for recovery as her nerves get used to being capped again. Xavier walked out and saw the parents sitting there where he left them, as soon as they saw him they both got up and approached him.

"Sue will be fine, shes in recovery now. She will sleep off the sedatives and should be awake in about two hours." Xavier said. "I suggest she takes it easy, she will be tender for a while as we had to cap the nerve endings again so there might be some loss of sensation in that part of the jaw for a while."

Both parents thanked Xavier then left after paying Sue a quick visit. Xavier retreated to his office to update medical records and set a timer for when he needed to contact the parents to pick Sue up.
