Mission: The Emerald Road
Location: Observation Lounge

Having returned from Engineering Will instead of taking his seat or heading to his Ready Room decided instead to sit alone in the Observation lounge watching the stars streak by hoping that maybe, just maybe one of them would bestow upon him a moment of clarity in a ragingly turmoil situation. The coffee he was nursing had long gone cold long ago, half drunk but swirled in his hand as he gazed out the window.

Anika reached up absolutely and begin to unpin her hair. The headaches that was setting at her temples made it difficult to concentrate by itself but was only exacerbated by the pins holding the heavy braids around her head.

Computer what is the current location of the Commodore?

Forward observation lounge,

Taking the pad and her report on the situation with the Marine pilot in her hand she walked with dragging step towards the forward observation lounge

As Anika neared the doors they opened, Will had not set then to stay closed unless chimed for entry so the light bellowed in intrusively into the room causing him to wince in an otherwise dimly lit room. He looked towards the door to see who it was. "Yes Commander, what is it?" Easily able to identify Anika.

"Oh call me Annika, right now I really don't want to be the commander." Entering the room so that the door closed behind her her slow clearly tired steps brought her to his side.

Will didn't really feel like being much, but with Vash in the hands of another he'd be what ever was needed to see her returned to him. "What brings you?" Will asked returned his gaze to the stars, sipping his coffee and visibly wincing at its unpleasant coldness.

Briefly she rested her hand on his shoulder and squeezed, before she handed him the pad containing the reports.

Will took the pad and looked over the information, seemed that some pilots had caused problems for his CAG and that it was promptly dealt with without formal charges being laid. "How has the Colonel taken to the new additions?"

"No idea I haven't spoken to him yet. Yours truly isnt his favorite person at the moment but I figure owing him a favor will sweeten the deal."

"Oh?" Will replied wondering what could possibly put the Commander and the Colonel at odds. "What happened?"

"I have been Fielding a lot of disciplinary issues recently. I don't know how much you followed the incident between the Colonel's girlfriend and his assistant?"

"I'd heard about it." Will finished what was left of his cold Coffee. "I read the Dr's report, both made a full recovery." It was very unusual for two of his crew to come to blows but seemed nobody wanted charges pressed. Will figured that pride and ego were price enough especially where a marine was included.

"Well it seems that that incident was induced by a bit of PTSD on the part of the colonel. She tried to wake him from a nightmare and he reacted violently."

"And this recent situation?" He asked placing the pad on the table next to his cup.

"Oh hot shot straight out of flight school. Will beat the stupidity out of them. However the problem is that the flight leader doesn't want them on the ship anymore, and it's made the recommendation that they be removed. I'm hoping that they prove themselves.

It was rare for Zan to flex himself in that area, a fine leader and capable pilot but unusual for him to don his cap and put a card like that down. "Do you think they can?"

"I think they have the potential. They're extremely good Pilots, the problem is that in one Fell Swoop they have alienated their entire flight team. I don't know if they can recover from that."

"Lets give it some time, see what the CAG has to say after they return from training with the Colonel. Maybe then they might have a change of perspective on suitable conduct." Will spoke. "Seem you are also on the lips of some of the crew, some have seen you with a impressively large fellow."

The slight flush to her cheeks wasnt evident in the dim light, but the smile in her voice was clear. "People assume a lot, but yes i have been seeing Ediras."

"Quiet an imposing man." Recalling having seen the man himself during his walk abouts. Such talk though reminded him of what he didn't have, Vash. "Have there been any other incidents on board that I should be aware of?"

"No major ones, though I am concerned by the amount of disciplinary issues weve been having..."

"To be expected to some degree. This ship already had a partial crew and then part of the Dreadnought's crew boarded and took over, this ship was originally a test bed vessel for various technologies. In situations like that there comes a familiarity to order, routine. Now I am plunging them into a fire they were not expecting." Will spoke. "If though, speak to Commander Reign, I'm sure if word gets round she is on the case things will die down."

"I could do that, but I don't want to put across the idea to anyone that I can't handle discipline." her tongue ghosted over her lips, making them glimmer in the dim light. "I'm just looking for solutions that aren't coming, in a situation that's so stressful already..."

"Hmmm." Will shared that position. Soon they would arrive and then he knew things would go downhill fast. No plan ever stood contact with the enemy so he knew he needed to change and adapt quickly. "I've spoken to tactical and engineering personally and they assure me the ship is ready and weapons checked."

All they could do now was wait, as the precious minutes ticked on by drawing them closer and closer to the coordinates, Will had little doubt the reception would be a hostile one, harsh words at the least but use of force would undoubtedly be required.
