Missed her by 'this' much.

Mission: New Faces and Terror Beyond
Location: Hanger Bay

Zan was in the bay looking at the maintenance teams that were tending to the fighters housed within. Normally this wouldn't be an issue and he'd be happy to just leave them to it but this particular session was the first monthly inspection of the new craft and each needed him to sign off on. Zan trusted the teams to do the job but protacols were very strict on it, if Zan was not completely 100% satisfied with the craft then it was flagged, pulled and offloaded when at a Starbase or planet.

Word went around that they had seen Amanda heading in a direction other than the marine area, news of her moving in obviously got around and people were happy about it. It was always nice to see the boss be happy regardless of the source.

"So how's things going now that you have to share that pit you call a home?"

"That pit as you put it now has a slight female presence to it. Besides she is a marine and you know how minimalist they can be with possessions." Zan spoke as he looked over a few lists.

"So how many marines did you piss off netting yourself that one?"

"I didn't net anyone, we both like each other and decided it was the right move to make." Zan defended. "Besides, Amanda is mature enough to make her own choices and defend them to anyone."

"Fair enough." Seeing that Zan was not very talkative about the subject. "So what about the fighters?"

"I'm not happy with these two, this one more so out of them." Zan pointed out the two on the list. "Run a level 4 diagnostic system wide, control platforms and system interfaces. If they fail we can offload them later."

"You got it."

Zan's Quarters

Zan walked in and something told him that Amanda had just this moment left, he may have just missed her or something but that was the feeling none the less. Then the call came in from Captain Havrelli. Zan was still unsure about this new Captain, granted he'd not really gotten to know the Efrosian but maybe that was just it.

With practised ease of a 'combat shower' he was in and out in four minutes, dressed in another two and out the door towards the Observation Lounge.

He wondered what it may be about since his department was not fully operational thanks to these new craft not meeting promised readiness. He hated taking on new craft. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." He said to himself as he ran the thoughts through his mind. "I hope the Captain doesn't ask about it."

Then he arrived and walked in.

OOC: Sorry this is so short, i had expected it to be longer but had some RL issues that took priority over much of my life of late.
