Mission: New Faces and Terror Beyond
Location: Sickbay

Sickbay was flat out trying to get teams ready, supplies arranged and sensative cultures into storage for transporting to the surface. Xavier had already moved nearly 20 containers to one side of a spare room packed with medkits, supplies and various liquids for treatment purposes. Several teams had been picked and more were ready to go down in the second wave once basic shelters had been put up. There were, as to be expected, some grumbles about what lay ahead since some had leave cancelled because of this mission but they got to work as Xavier knew they would. He figured it was part of the reason why people followed him, he'd hear people out and let them have a gripe and groan but knew afterwards it was back to work as usual and they'd do it.

Having already got a report from Lt. Luthar at the numbers and sizes of craft available for ferrying supplies Xavier saw that he had two shuttles still vacant. He could use them to ferry even more supplies and he could easily clean out a sizeable portion of reserves but the thought nagged him that if doing that it could pose a security issue. If people found out or knew of the supplies they may try and take them, especially since they were already in a desperate situation as it was.

After much thought Xavier opted for additional manpower over supplies. Supplies could be beamed down as required instead of sitting there posing the risk, with more people it meant more could be treated, action could be taken and for most that could be the distraction they needed while the marines did what they had to do.

When it came to the marines they would have combat medics with them but they knew in case of emergency that shuttles for medical evac and a makeshift facility would be available to treat wounded.

All of this even without a Chief Medical Officer. Xavier had hoped that one would be assigned when the new Captain arrived but nothing had been said and it was strange not to have one considering this would be a CMO's dream job outside of a station or planetside base. Part of him wondered if this was partly Ayla's doing in the hopes that he would change his mind and take the role but he was still unsure what he wanted to do with his life and taking a CMO's spot would close many doors that are currently open to him.

Xavier sent his updated report to Engineering and to the CAG. Engineering because they would have to supply the power generators and lighting for the makeshift hospital but also suitable beds, replicators and materials for Doctors and Nurses to rest. His report to CAG included everything that would go down on the first transit as well as a complete, updated and detailed list of materials that couldn't be transported normally. Xavier entered a little snippet that there would still be room on shuttles assigned to Sickbay needs should the Marine or security departments need to move or transport.

It seemed though a moments break to enjoy a cup of Coffee was out of the question as a crewman came in nursing a bloody nose. He rose from his chair and leapt into action. "What happened?" Xavier asked directing the injured woman to a bed. The explanation was simple and straight forward, she tripped in the Holodeck and landed hard on the grass.

A quick scan revealed nothing serious in terms of damage and a few sweeps of the re-generator would fix the problem. A hypospray would ease the headache.
