Mission: New Faces and Terror Beyond
Location: Captain's Quarters / Bawden's Den

Elizebeth entered their quarters, later than usual. She looked thoughtful as she passed by her husband, directly to the replicator in the kitchen that the Admiral S'iraa had installed. She was running way later and she knew her husband would be grumpy for missing his dinner at a certain time they always ate so he could schedule his meals in his extremely busy schedule of being a Starfleet officer of high standings in the hierarchy of the chain o command.

Ra was sat in his chair behind the desk where he could often be found working even when off duty. Tonight such as it was the same since his Wife had ventured out on one of her social activities no doubt that had ultimatly delayed her return. It twas not the lateness that bothered him so but the disruption to his routine, this new command had many facets and he was still trying to learn them all and how they could be used to effect his requirements but food was fuel and food was late.

When Elizebeth stode in and walked past without a word he was about to speak when he saw that she was preoccupied with something. "How was the day dear?" Ra spoke part in question part in annoyance that her day had caused disruption to his own.

"Horrible." Elizebeth paused in what she was doing to look at her husband at hearing his annoyance in his tone. "Even in this day an age of medical advancement. There is still death." She softly grumbled inputted commands for a simple finger-food style of meal. "It was heartbreaking to watch a mother pull the plug on an off spring." She took the moment as replicator made the meal, to look at Ra. "We got to show them our support."

Ra read the report from Sickbay earlier, all deaths on board a starship are immediately reported to the commanding officer. Ra had lost crew before, a danger a leader always faced but a child, an innocent was always the hardest to accept. His Wife was right however, in light of all the technological advancements and feats there remained death. "Agreed." Ra answered. "Maybe the Counselor can speak to them, aid them."

"We..." stressing the word, ..."will go visit them. To show that we also share in their grief and concerns. To at least show support in their time of loss." She looked pointedly at Ra. She pulled the food out when the replicator chimed that the food was ready and carried the food tray that carried their dinner to the dining table. "Dinners ready."

"Are you sure that is wise?" Ra asked as he looked at the food while walking to the dinner table. "They have suffered a very intimate loss, would it not be prudent to give them a moment to themselves before others get involved?" Ra knew people handled grief differently, he didn't know the Commanders enough to know for himself how they would cope. Perhaps his Wife was right, a visit a show of support during a difficult time.

"I've scheduled it in for 1000 hrs ship board time. Bumping the rest of your schedule to free up time slot. That will at least give them time to grieve with each other." Elizebeth smiled at her husband.

Ra was not pleased that she would interfere with his schedule this much, as devoted and caring as she was she sometimes let that get the better of the situation especially when it effected others. "Very well." There was little point in arguing, once she set her mind on something it was set and there was nothing to be done about it. "Attire choices for tonight?"

"Anything you desire, my love," Elizebeth spoke softly with a soft smile. "I'll just slip out of my dress here." She stood up and removed her dress, letting fall to the floor reviling a white shear babydoll negligee, white panties with garter and thigh high sheer stockings.

She moved gracefully behind him in stocking feet and began a simple neck and shoulder massage to make up for the liberties she took in rearranging his schedule.

The contrast of her perfect blue skin against the white she wore demanded attention. He looked upon her until she positioned herself behind him and began her work on his neck and shoulders. "My love, have you..." He paused for a moment placing a hand on hers to stop herfor a moment and trying not to be insensitive to the recent matter. "Given thought to children?" This new ship granted him more time than before at UP shipyards and the crew were well trained and didn't require constant supervision like at the yards. He never saw his blindness as a problem and he had a feeling any children would take more traits from his Wife than himself. There were times however that he wanted to see the beauty of his wife clearly, without glasses or visual aid and take in that which he married and loved dearly.

"I've given thought to having children, my love," Elizebeth spoke softly as she worked a knot of muscles loose. "I don't know what you do to make you so tense. You worried about the mission going on and not being part of it like old times?"

"Both actually." Ra answered. He felt helpless, the ship could run itself without him. At least at the shipyards there was always something to do, always some crisis that needed resolving. "May I ask what you have thought?" He asked as she worked his shoulders. He's placed his glasses on the tabletop, they hurt his eyes after a while.

"Why do you keep putting off your eye treatments? They can fix your eyes to perfect 20/20 vision." Seeing him take off his glasses. "I bet if you was still First Officer. You'd have your eyes fixed in a heartbeat." It was an age old concern of her since the Shipyards when he started wearing corrective lenses.

Ra noticed quickly she was avoiding the question. "Efrosian eyesight has always been poor, we are born almost blind, the glasses form part of who we are and part of my identity. I have had them so long I would not be comfortable without them."

"Then you need a new pair. More adaptable with nose pads." Elizebeth nodded sagely. She leaned against him to hug him. Her breast bracketing his head were a lot more plumper than usual. "Anyways, you finish reading up that ole report and come to bed. While I clean up."

She released him and took off to clean up the left-overs of dinner.

Her cool skin was a blessing to his neck and he relaxed more from it. he decided not to press the question he'd asked her that she'd avoided, there had to be a reason but now was not the time anymore. "The report can wait." He stood up and slowly made his way to the bedroom.

He removed his jacket and draped it over the back of a chair, he pulled his shoes off next. For a moment he wondered if she was truly happy, a starship is hardly an ideal setting for social activities especially those where she could meet high level officials. It also made her designing difficult with the ship always on the move. He lay on the bed with his head resting on a pillow, so many thoughts, so many thoughts.

A few minutes later, Elizebeth entered the bed room, giving her mate a smile as she crawled onto him straddling him. She leaned in close so that he could see her better. "You sure you want children? They'll be a noisy interruption when you need the peace and quiet after a stressful day of command?"

"This command has allowed me time to consider my lifes accomplishments, a honourable command, a lovely and considerate Wife but I admit I feel there is something missing sometimes." His hands came to rest on her cold waist above the garter belt she wore. As close as she was he could see her clearly, he was thankful for her consideration of that as squinting often caused him headaches.

"Well... your wish is about to come true for children. So now it the time to decide whether I abort the pregnancy or let it progress." She kissed him softly as it was in her Andorian Genetic Survival Instincts for the race living on an Ice planet where food was still hard to come by, even with all the advances in technology.

That explained why she avoided the question. His hands still on her cold waist he pulled her down until she was gently laying upon him. "Let it progress." He spoke softly. Of course the realisation wouldn't kick in just yet, fate was cruel and devious that way but when it did he would gladly welcome it. He expected they would take on more Andorian traits than his own, he didn't care. As long as they were healthy and well, that was all that mattered.

Elizebeth laid on her husband wiggling delightfully upon him as she let her feminine curves settle to fit his. She gave him soft caressing kisses as she ran her cool hands along his much warmer body.

Welcoming arms wrapped around a living Wife. "I am sorry that my new duties take up so much of our free time together unlike before." When stationed at the yards free time was much more abundant but now with his own command in his hands free time was painfully sacrificed.

He hands felt around her back to the clasp of her bra, alas the bane of many a male when it came to undoing them. However his fingers didn't fail him and he felt the clasp surrender to his desires.

Elizebeth smiled as she slowly worked to arouse him with gentle caresses and kisses. "As much as I hate to say this. You must schedule free time in your busy schedule. Just like you do our meals." She spoke between kisses.

"I should." He replied also between kisses. "I will make sure I do just that." That was not just because he'd be able to be intimate with her but to just spend time with her, time off duty, relaxing.

"I'll remind you." Elezebeth spoke softly as she returned the kisses with caressing and massaging lower and lower...
