Mission: Ethics, Morals & The Prime Directive.
Location: Command & Control Centre
Timeline: Post Bridge Damage

Mark heard the call and began to make his way to the CNC, a place he'd not actually gone to yet. He couldn't help but have some mild curiocity as to what it might be like but now was hardly the time for it. Tapping his commbadge he signaled that he was on his way. "I'm on my way Commander." He could only hope that his family was safe but training told him that the best way to ensure that was to do what duty demanded.

Cassian was already making his way to the Bridge from the Ops department when the call came in, he was curious as to why they were using the CNC when it was routine for the Bridge to be used but he heard the tone in the Commander's voice and knew that now was not the time to be wondering about it, a call had come in and he needed to answer. "Enroute now Commander." He directed the turbolift to the CNC instead as he looked at the Padd he had in his hand....it told him why...and so much more.

Ana looked over the hologram of the ship and saw the hanger deck go from yellow to green with a glyph that indicated there was still a hazard being dealt with, “Well, sir, how do we want to handle this? Me brief them, or you?” She glanced over at Ethan.

Ethan looked at the hologram. "Use the thrusters to keep relative position to the wayward nacelle, even if we fall out of Geosynchronous orbit above the colony. Have the escort run scans on the structural integrity of the nacelle and relay here for assessment by the Chief Engineer. Lt Massy, I'd like you to review the EPS power grid and isolate any areas showing signs of critical failure, we don't need people getting harmed by power surges. Commander Bawden, there are going to be a lot of scared people on board, chaos breeds problems so I want security teams at every major location as well as helping with medical evacuation of the wounded."

"Commander Aries, review the sensor data from the escort when it comes in, coordinate damage control teams from here and determine if it is at all possible to reattach the nacelle or if it will need to be warp towed to the nearest Starbase. With our shields up we should be protected from further attacks so I'd like a worker bee or two to collection some of these weapons for investigation."

He gave a brief moment for pause. "Number One, I'd like you to begin routing command and control functions from the Bridge to here, we are not going to get far if we can't control her. Then inform Sickbay to prepare for mass casualties, speak with Massy about stable Holodeck's for triage functions."

"Aye Captain." Cassian responded as he walked to one of the terminals, routing operations through it so he had everything he needed at the tips of his fingers. The picture it painted though was not a good one, while the core interior of the ship was undamaged, there were many zones that were suffering from power issues, some rather severe. Isolating them would take time with so many decks and damage spread from one location across several decks.

Making sure that medical had a steady supply of power was critical, they couldn't function without it and lives would be at risk if they didn't have what they needed to perform.

“Yessir.” Victoria paused for a moment, “But I’m going to let Lieutenant Bennington coordinate damage control operations from DCC, it’ll keep me free to evaluate the nacelle damage. Bravo, I’ll need to wait until it cools down, for sure.” The engineer took over one of the vacant terminals and began to put herself to work.

"Understood Captain." Mark responded as he walked to a console to begin his work. Chaos was putting it mildly to say the least but at least with a direction he could work in line with what he'd been ordered to do. He knew that panic would be a factor especially with civilians on board and especially since civilians were not accustomed to the dangers of the uniform they resided with on board.

There was a welcome feeling as the console had informed him that the first few stages of what he'd been tasked with were already underway by the trained men and women under his command....it would make what came after all the easier for it.

The situation was as he saw it, fundamentally dire. The hull had been compromised, one of his nacelles had been sheered off and adrift, engines were damaged as well as a score of other systems and locations...including the Bridge. Casualties were expected, he knew that much given what the displays were telling him of the damage and with casualties came panic.

He hoped that the deployed escort would be able to apply a tractor beam to the wayward nacelle to stay its resultant drift especially since the shields were now up, impact with them could cause additional damage without a structural integrity grid to assist.

Ethan knew he couldn't move and a stationary target was far easier to combat. "I want probes launched, system wide. Every planet and moon, asteroid field, planetary rings, everything." He knew the net would take a while to establish without warp speed on the probes but if he was stationary then he wanted as much warning as possible should anything approach. The raider base had to be somewhere, he just needed to find it.

"Commander Aventnova, head to the Brig, impress upon the Administrator that it would behove him to unburden himself of any additional information that he might have."

While most of the damage was isolated to armour impacts and partial penetrations there were some areas that were not so strictly armoured and thus in turn more sensitive to penetration impacts with a substantial force behind it. The EPS grid around the sheered nacelle was hard to isolate locally facilitating a need to isolate entire sections of 4 decks.

The other areas were easier to manage but routing additional power through the now strained sections would later bring its own problems but powered none the less. Next came the other nacelle, while not as catastrophically damaged, it was still substantial.

"Captain, I have isolated the EPS grid from the damaged nacelles, unfortunately this will require manual sealing of plasma and supporting fuctions from Engineering directly due to power loss at those areas." Sealing wouldn't be a problem as it was far easier to seal at the source and he made sure that there was no power interruptions at the storage tanks for the warp cores that Engineering would need.

Victoria had set up her screens and put on a headset while having views from any cameras she could get going on, "Workbee 1-1, 1-2, you are cleared for launch from the port bay." Her voice was calm and collected, "Head for nacelle Echo and evaluate the structural components." Her attention changed to another pair of bright yellow craft, "Workbee 2-1, cleared for launch, destination nacelle Bravo for damage evaluation. Workbee 2-2, your destination is the impulse drive, I need an evaluation on the damage there. Workbee 2-3,"

Victoria knew that they had an additional three of the small repair craft after this, but she didn't want all of them tasked quite yet, "Give me a sweep of space around the ship for any debris from whatever hit us. Shards, smear samples, but if you can find one intact but drifting, that would be perfect."

Anastasia had been hovering over the flight control station and directing the Lieutenant there on where to direct the probe requests. "Put eight into varying orbits around that moon and this planet, maximum sensitivity to try to locate any more of those kinetic weapons. If we can find some, I want to try to take some intact."

She tapped different locations on the map of the solar system, "Use an Expedited Survey pattern around each of these bodies to maximize the coverage. Yes, I know it will deplete our drone stock, but they're cheaper than a repeat of what happened to us. Coordinate with Lieutenant Massy with your results."

She stepped back as the officer began programming the drones, "I'll head to the Administrator now, sir, he's in the same boat as we are right now and I'll let him know he can always be used as some additional armor plating if he doesn't want to cooperate." It wasn't meant as a literal statement.

Mark checked the weapons arrays while his initial orders were relayed, the results were hardly idea. "Captain. preliminary checks reveal we have suffered loss of 19 of the defense emplacements around the ship, 1 main phaser array on the forward dorsal section. Targeting sensors have been compromised in several sections." While the ship was far from defenseless, it still painted a grim picture.

He knew that he would have to work with Engineering and Operations to get the weapons online again, if they could do so without a visit to a yard or spacedock and its many facilities.

"Once we get things under control, I'll get crews out to replace the defense emplacements and clear the debris." Victoria called out, glancing over the display once more, "I think the phaser array is operable in the long term, but there may be breakages in the array, I'll schedule a survey with a high priority, but we've got bigger problems than that at the moment."
